As a family of two adults and two children we stayed here for two nights at the beginning of our French driving holiday. The hotel itself is in a lovely courtyard with picturesque old buildings, an old post office I believe. We had requested a parking space by phone on the drive and it was all ready with our name... This is a lovely courtyard hotel in Bayeux - close to the Tapestry Museum and the main street. We booked it as an overnight stay on the way from the Cherbourg ferry, and it was very nice. The family rooms are in an annex away from the reception, and, as you might expect in an old hotel, fitting an extra... More

We stayed 3 nights at this Hotel. We were quite satisfied, but we had some problems: - The sofa-bed of my daughters had not been prepared (the sheets were dirty): the receptionist of the night was friendly and quickly brought us clean sheets - One morning they woke us up at 7:00 with the telephone wake up call (but it... We arrived late from the day ferry over to Caen so after 10.30 at night. The hotel receptionist was really welcoming and organised, we had asked for a parking space and there it was with our name on it and we could park there for all the following day whilst we had a visit to the Bayeux Tapestry, Cathedral and... U could walk from the train station, it had been a long day, so we took a cab. We left Paris from Gare duNord. Beautiful train ride. Lovely towns & countryside. The hotel is small and so friendly. A great restaurant in the hotel. My personal favorite dessert was a baked apple with Caramel & Calvados sauce. Small bar with... More

We recently stayed for 2 nights here whilst visiting the Normandy D Day sites and had a very enjoyable stay. Looking at the comments below from our experience I would agree with the following. The hotel overall is exactly what is claims to be- 3 star, and as such stands up very well to others in that bracket, but it... More

We stayed there last September after staying at two other hotels in Bayeux. This was the most expensive of the 3, but by no means the nicest. I read that Ike used this hotel as his headquarters after D-Day and I got the feeling that nothing has been updated since thern. I think Ike walked on the same carpet that... More

Comfortable well established hotel. Room was large but overlooking courtyard and so a bit noisy with early risers. Bathroom clean and spacious. We don't eat breakfast but the evening meal was very well presented, both our starters were too small but overall a very nice meal. We often don't bother with a desert but make sure you do so here,... More

I stayed here for 2 nights while on a bicycling vacation through Normandy. It is a lovely older facility. Room was a tad small but comfortable. Remember, European hotel rooms are generally smaller than we American are accustomed to. Nothing luxurious, but as said, comfortable. Clean. Good location. Well within walking distance of the sites of Bayeux - cathedral, tapestry... More

We stayed for one saturday night in this hotel. Rooms somewhat outdated but adequate. We missed an elevator. Reception staff very friendly and helped with luggage bringing to the room. In the evening we had a wonderful culinairy experience in the hotel's restaurant, which was topped off by a 40 years old Calvados with the coffee. A last point of... More
