The hosts were personable and helpful. The room was not as big as I had hoped and storage was limited but it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was as good as you could get in any fine hotel in Europe. It was a good stay and a good value.

I can't rate Le Castel and the hosts highly enough. The accommodation itself was relaxing and extremely homely, definitely had the feel of a guest house and not an average hotel which was absolutely perfect for me as I was doing a solo side-trip to Bayeux. The hosts were great, I cannot thank Cristophe and his wife enough, they went...

Stayed one night here. The old house is quaint, but we got put out in a "tin can" hanging off the back of the house on the 2nd floor. It has short high windows, automated shutters.. totally out of character for the rest of the house. But the bathroom was roomy, we had a fridge... breakfast in the am was...

Great little place to stay! Very warm and welcoming! Room was a little small which is normal in Europe. Bathroom was huge with a nice shower. Breakfast was great. Within walking distance to town. We enjoyed our first night in France at a very nice place.

A very friendly, helpful couple run this charming B&B. There is convenient parking right on the property for a nominal, reasonable fee (5 euro/night). Breakfast is served around a large dining room table with a very nice selection of a typical continental breakfast. Bathrooms are clean and have more than decent hardware. This is not a luxury boutique hotel. It...

I usually book budget accommodations to save money for adventures instead but decided to "splurge" on this nice looking guesthouse in Bayeux. It was well worth it! We had a spacious room on the top floor that was very comfortable and had a modern bathroom with room to wiggle. The breakfast was wonderful - lots of fresh pastries and bread...

We loved this charming guesthouse. Perfect location in Bayeaux, so close to the Tapestry and gorgeous Cathedral, parking on site if available or not far away in public lots, Loads of character in this lovely Inn and one of the most complete breakfasts in our entire stay in France (lots more than bread and coffee). Wish we could have stayed...

We had a wonderful stay at le Castel. Elen and Christophe are superb hosts, so warm and welcoming and full of good ideas. They have renovated a lot of the9is old house, while keeping the original style and feel. We had a room with a terrace that had a superb view of the cathedrale. The breakfast, while tyipically French, was...

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Le Castel Guesthouse and it was wonderful! The room was lovely and comfortable, the host was charming and breakfast was terrific. The location can't be beat-walking distance to the train station and all the tourist sites in the very charming town of Bayeux. I highly recommend this place and hope to make...

My husband and I stayed here 4 nights and wish we could stay longer. We can't agree with any of the negative reviews. Our room was on the very front #5 and was large enough with a nice dresser for our clothes and 2 closets. The bathroom is very large and clean. The shower is great with lots of hot...
