We booked a Mercury Hotel, expecting a higher standard. There was no restaurant, no bar except a fridge with a very limited range of drinks. The bathroom was tiny and the room very small.
Other Mercures we have stayed at had all the facilities.
Spent two night in March there. Old Lille was beautiful and romantic, lots of restaurants, cafes, shops and bars. Relatively small rooms with "romantic" view, but that didn't bother me. Good service, stylish lobby and atrium cafe.
