The location is great - just around the corner from the Arena of Nimes - and the price was right. And while everything was functional and clean, it was by no means new. The toilet rocked a bit when sat upon, and the tub was the smallest I'd ever seen. That being said, the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Some of the reviews here really raised our expectations, and we were a bit disappointed when we first got to the hotel. But it is indeed a 2 star hotel, and amongst 2 star hotels, this is a good one. The staff was friendly and serviceable, the room was ok though quite old and worn out, the location was great...

The hotel is very very shabby. In my opinion it is a 1 star at best. The management is very nice...but their english is limited. The room was rather disgusting. The carpeting looked like it was about 30 yrs old, the bathroom was super daterd with paint peeling off the walls and mold all lover the walls and curtain. The...

This hotel right in the historic centre of Nimes and within easy strolling distance of the amphitheatre and other main sites of interest offers absolutely fabulous value for money. For a 2* hotel, this establishment punches well above its weight with pleasantly furnished, spotlessly clean en suite rooms boasting tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, TV, aircon and free...

After my normal research before travelling, I settled on the Hotel des Tuileries for our three night trip to Nimes, having used the reviews on TA. The hotel did not disappoint at all. The English owners have a treat of a hotel close to both the historical district of Nimes and yet close to other amenities such as the train...

I traveled through France with my mother, and when we arrived in Nîmes, she was experiencing some serious stomach trouble. The extremely welcoming and kind English owners, Andrew and Caryn, called a doctor for her. We had a lovely room (it's actually pictured on their website, on the front page - the room painted green), facing the street and La...

My wife and I have recently returned from a four night break in Nimes. We spent a lot of time researching hotel accommodation and were fortunate to settle on staying at this hotel. It is conveniently situated approximately 5 minute walk from the central railway station and main bus depot and about the same distance from the old town where...

We arrived at the hotel to a wonderful welcome from our English hosts. Our room was very comfortable with air conditioning that worked very well on the hot days we were there. The room facilities where everything that one needed and the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom also had everything needed. We had a good breakfast each morning...
