The staff here are very competent and friendly but they are let down by a tatty hotel long past its sell-by date. The rooms are metal-doored cells that had some cursory interior decoration some time ago. God help you if you're sleeping and someone else's iron door slams nearby. There is no air-conditioning and as the hotel is effectively built...

The hotel is a typical business hotel. Rooms are good, but not very good. The staff is friendly and the service is all right. Breakfast is good, but quite expensive. The location is good, on walking distance from the old city center and on the border of the Antigone district, what is a remarkable part of the city. All together...

I do not think the 4 stars are representative for this hotel. I stayed here for a couple of nights only. The hotel is not very close to the city center, approx 10 mins by taxi. The main challenge this hotel has was the fact that the room did not make me feel like I was in a four star...

The hotel was placed in a a very central location, within easy walking distance to the shops, bars and restaurants. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The hotel looked slightly dated and tired, having stayed at the Pullman previously, it was a bit disappointing. Taking into consideration we stayed at the end of the summer season you would expect...

This hotel is kind of sterile without much personality. The Wifi worked OK, breakfast was OK, rooms were OK but nothing was any more than average. Located in a business area without much nearby. It was an OK stay for the night.

My wife and I stayed here. We arrived at around 5.30 PM after we had been waiting for hours on the station and in a different hotel because of the extremely heavy rain on that day. At the check-in desk, there were two women. But when the guest before us left, the woman at the left reception desk said her...

Welcoming and efficient reception. Spacious room with comfortable beds. Some road noise, but this is normal for a hotel in a busy town - not intrusive. Spotless throughout, but bathroom could benefit from an update. Easy access to underground car park. Breakfast buffet is excellent with extensive choice of quality hot and cold food. Main restaurant is not open at...

We were very disappointed with this hotel. It is in need of some urgent and major TLC. We noticed torn wallpaper at reception, smelly corridors, dirty walls in the breakfast area, really dirty airco vent in the room, hairs in the bath, keycard gave up twice... not at all what we were expecting. The only good thing about this hotel...

Nice room, very clean. I would recommend it! We booked a triple room. There was lots of space for all of us! There is a big bath with a bathtub and a shower. Watch out, the shower door is a bit leaky. The breakfast seemed to be really expensive, so we had breakfast somewhere else.

The Mercure Antigone is in a prime location for a visit to Montpellier. It is getting on in years now, having been built around the same time as Antigone which was a large extension to Montpellier. It's best point is it's large car-park which seemed secure and spacious. The room, however, had a lingering smell of smoke from the past,...
