I am giving this B&B 5 stars for the reasons in the title of this review. The bed was no harder than any bed we experienced on our journey anywhere we stayed in 6 hotels in the southern France region since Loches so I am not subtracting points for that. It seems to be normal. One other caveat is that... More

We stayed two nights at Les Florentines in October 2014. The location was perfect just outside the walls of La Cite and there was ample free parking nearby. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The owner, Brigitte, was warm and hospitable and gave us excellent restaurant suggestions. The included breakfast was very satisfying. Staying at Les Florentines enhanced the... More

We've stopped at "Les Florentines" for only one night at Carcassonne. We stayed in the Florentine room, which is on the very top floor with two terraces. One on the city, and one - on the castle. All the houses around are lower than this building, none of them has a terrace, so you get a lot of privacy. The... More

Great location, only a short walk to old city, also into new town. Great restaurants a few steps away. Breakfast was excellent Brigitte the owner was very helpful and her English was better than our French. Rooms large and roomy, lovely and cool, would definitely stay there again

This is a lovely little hotel in a quiet street with a number of good restaurants. 7 minutes walk to the Cite and 7 to the City. Brigitte and her family are very welcoming and helpful. You must book the Florentine room. A little more expensive, probably, but you get 2 rooftop terraces and the best view of the Cite... More

Excellent little guest house in a very good position for visiting both the old cite and a short stroll into the newer part of carcassonne. The room was a good size a large comfortable bed and all was spotlessly clean. The continental breakfast every morning was very nice and the owners were very friendly. Would certainly return to stay again and... More

This was a lovely B&B run by very friendly family. It was in a perfect position just below the ramparts & v. quick walk into the old cite. Very clean rooms & delicious breakfast. We didn't find the check-in a problem & they provided a safe lock up for our bikes. Definately recommended.

Carcassonne! Park. Walk from here to the medieval town and to delightful nearby restaurants. Savor, however, your room's view - it's magical. Even on a rainy evening, with two unused terraces, it was very romantic. I rarely use the adjective romantic in my reviews. We found our hosts very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast OK, but not above average. A... More
