I used Hilton points to reserve what I thought was 2 rooms for 4 people but only Pavillon building was available when I booked. I am a gold member which in Hilton circles isn't all that special. But when we checked in, the hotel not...More
Queen Elizabeth II stayed here, as did Sarah Bernhardt and American World War II generals before her. The hotel is full of old world elegance, nestled in the charm of the countryside that is only a 30 minute drive from Paris. The rooms are larger...More

Our family of 5 stayed for 2 nights in May and our experience was not what we expected and was definitely not worth the money spent. Our rooms were located in the Pavilion, which is across from the Palace rooms. Note, this building in not...More
The location and public rooms of this hotel are superb. The rest of the operation all, quite frankly, felt to be of a lesser quality from my previous visit (2010). As a Hilton Diamond member, I expected an above average room and although we were...More

The main building is more opulent. Fancy. Old World Charm. I would surmise more expensive to stay in. The Pavillion is across the "grounds"/more so like "The Guest House" and from what I experienced it is likely used for conventions/large wedding parties. The Pavillion, for us, was quiet likely because it wasn't even at half capacity when we stayed. We never saw anyone else in the halls or elevators. We say 3 employees at the front desk area, that was it. So in a sense, more private. It was a 2 minutes troll across the lawn to the Main Building where all the action was, in a sense. Our room in the Pavillion was spacious. It had a beautiful view of the lawn. The bathroom was large. Really not one complaint. And in a practical sense, you save money. (which for the Waldorf Astoria makes lil sense but we are budget travelers.)
