Very nice hotel, some absolutely top notch banter from the friendly staff. Extremely close to an exotic cloth shop which is about 30m away and suits all your fabric needs. I felt like I got great bang for buck and would heartily recommend this establishment to fellow travellers.

Lots of banter in the air, I could smell the beauty of France in the bedrooms. The staff are very friendly with a smile at all times. There is an abundance of fabric that can suit all your needs only 8 meters away. Excellent! Bravo!

We thought reviews of this hotel were unfair. Its a basic budget hotel in a great location, on a quiet side street very close to Sacre Coeur and the lovely Montmartre; only 2 min walk to the Metro, and an easy 15min walk from Gare du Nord. There's also a supermarket round the corner, which is useful as Paris is...

Overall it's definitelly 'retro' but after whole day in cold rainy day, the cold smelly room does not make you exactly happy. Due to very tiny space, the breakfast was under a strict schedule + everyone had his portion = exact one. All the noises were audible thru the hotel.

There wasn't any air conditioning and the hotel stinked. It was freezing in the night even if we had extra blankets. Service was really rude and the elevator was way too small. Floors creaked and the whole hotel seemed filthy. Warm water run out while i was in shower and it was hard to shower without shower curtain. At least...

I stayed in this hotel with my school group. You can't expect much from a two star hotel. But the service was really rude and things were broken in the rooms. The breakfast was arranged well but it was really simple. The shower was really bad and it was really hard shower without getting the whole bathroom floor wet. The walls...

This hotel was interesting to say at least. The service wasn't very good and the hotel owner and the staff weren't friendly at all. We couldn't lock our doors at night and we we really scared. Only thing that was okay was the breakfast and there was wifi, but it cost 1 euro. My friends bed broke down when she...

I recently stayed at the Hotel Luxia with my university on a weekend trip. I read the reviews and was a little concerned, but trusted my university to put us up somewhere decent. I was horrified when we arrived. When you first walk into the lobby, it's a little shabby, but not awful. What really took the cake was the...

I visited with my university. I wasn't expecting much as I read the reviews before I visited, but this hotel is just grim. It mustn't have been decorated for decades, paint falling from the ceilings, splashes and writing up the walls from previous visitors. cracks in the bathroom sink and a large hole in the side of the bath covered...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
