We have stayed here twice - last time in 2008 - and most recently in June 2013. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff are friendly and attentive. Lovge the micro lift that has been installed in the stairwell. Takes 1 and a suitcase. The location is what makes this so great. One block back from the Seine and...

We ( 6 of us) stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in early July. We arrived around noon and the rooms were ready. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Their response was prompt. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I especially like the chair, very stylish. The hotel is in zone 1, safe, with good eating places nearby. Near...

My husband and I stayed here for three nights early June 2013. Quite simply there is no reason to stay anywhere else in Paris. Rooms compact but clean and nice. Staff were helpful. A few steps from the river on the right bank. Location, location, location.

I recently stayed three nights over a weekend and I was very pleased with the top floor room, and the staff were all very helpful. The room was clean and had all the amenities that I needed. The location is walking distance to many attractions, the metro, shopping as well as some good restaurants. The only concern I had was...

We stayed at this hotel in order to visit the theatre at Le Chatelet. We wanted to be nearby so were amazed to find the hotel was actually located within the same building which was wonderful. This is a very nice small hotel which has been renovated recently. The top floor rooms are within the mansard roof so may not...

Small hotel, next to the metro station Châtelet. Easy access to all tourist atractions and safe area. Close to Rue de Rivoli and Pont Neuf. Recently renovated. Rooms are small but very clean and quiet. Staff are very attentive and speak Portuguese. 4 times I've been staying here alone or with my husband and would stay again. I would recommend...

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel and it wasn't fine! Actually, the location is the best thing of this hotel... When we arrived we heard a constant weird noise on the roof/ wall of the room... I talked with the staff and they told me that they looked on the roof, but they didn't find the cause of the...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
