Located 50 meters from the Chatelet metro stop on a small side street next to the River Siene is a wonderful family run little hotel. The breakfast downstairs is perfectly French and delicious. The little lift and frequently redecorated rooms never let you forget that you are visiting Paris. The hotel is the culture. This is not the Marriot or...

Firstly I searched for a hotel in the city centre with parking. This hotel came up but upon contacting the hotel i was advised that the parking was 'near by' and 33 euros a day - but it was best to book your space. I was sent a link by the hotel which didnt work so I found it myself...

Location was great. Very close to the Metro, shopping, historical sites, and the Seine River. We took a jog next to the river. It was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the accommodations were adequate for what we needed for our visit to Paris.

We were happy to stay at this hotel - it's central to many tourist attractions and is steps away from the metro. The room and bathroom was not as nice or as large as portrayed in the photos. However, we were okay with that because of the price and location. The staff was also very nice. Our flight landed very...

Every time we stay we feel that we are at 'home'. This time, Jocelyn kept a straight face when withholding a secret from us - the fact that my husband's sister was hiding behind a screen to surprise us - having flown in from Australia the day before. Jocelyn, you are a master of the straight face - maybe you...

When we decided to go back to Paris after some years, we knew we are going back to Hotel VICTORIA, our home in Paris. The hotel has been beautifully renovated and our room had a king size bed. The staff is very nice, attentive & helpful. The hotel is located right by Rue de Rivoli ( but on a side...

Well the positives are: Very friendly staff, great location in the center of Paris. The negatives: Rooms are outdated, bathroom was a challenge because the shower was coming loose from the wall, the beds are really small. The price was too expensive for the value, but I guess that is what you get in the center of a large city.

Have stayed before - will stay again - and continue to recommend it to my friends. Once you experience the location you won't want anywhere else in Paris especially if you are a 'drop your bag and walk' type of person. Its all there at your doorstep. But .. the reason i would choose this hotel over others in the...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
