We only had one night in Paris and we got lucky.
That is, we stayed at Hotel Amour on the recommendation of a friend who lives in Paris and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Cool deco in a modern setting is found at this small hotel, located in Paris Pigalle district. Food is good but not superb (in comparison with some great restaurants around). Service is good, not slow but not fast.
I stayed here for a few nights with work. This Hotel has a great vibe, and in the restaurant if you want to have a drink or dinner in the evening. Breakfast is really great, I recommend the fried bacon and eggs it is served...More
Great choice if you plan to stay in Southern Pigalle neighbourhood. The rooms are very unique (black and white photographs), we had a nice bathroom with a big bathtub. I felt myself in a Bernardo Bertolucci movie.
The rooms! the restaurant! the location!
Hotel Amour has it all!
We booked the "oriental" room, which was so nice we didn't want to leave!
We adored this place. it is quite unique, we have travelled all over the world but never experienced anything like...More
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in
another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
