Flew to Paris for a weekend getaway. Booked into this hotel (what a mistake). We arrived early and told our room will not be ready until 2 PM, ok so we left our luggage in a small closet and walked to Tour Montparnasse, had a breakfast at Ciel de Paris and enjoyed the view. We got our room at 2:15PM,...

The room was really small for the price, no where to hang you coats when you entered the room. The cleaning was not good. Had left a toothpaste box on the floor next to the toilet and it was still there after the room "was cleaned". The door to the toilet did not close well so there were no privacy....

Fortunately we did not even make it through the front door! We booked a room 6 weeks prior to arrival and immediately thereafter we realised we had made a mistake. We phoned the hotel, spoke to the receptionist (the manager was on 'holiday') and explained the situation. We requested immediate cancellation for the room and offered to pay a small...

This was a nice little place. The rooms could be a bit better but it was adequate. There's a metro close by that goes to the Eiffel tower and Arc de Triomph. The hotel is located near a busy commercial area mostly consisting of restaurants and bars. So it does get a little louder at night.

Stayed here with a family, so we had a bigger room with direct entry from the courtyard. This was very nice with the kids. Clean and good room in two storeys. The hotel is not the greatest I've been to, but good location, metro station closeby and many restaurants in the area make it a good stay. The staff was...

Not what I expected but I would stay here again. The room es VERY small and the bathroom needs to be renovated. The staff was friendly and helpfull. It is very close to the metro station. There are many places to eat around and is a good neighborhood.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Dirty, old run down. Nothing like the photos. One particular staff member was outright nasty to our group of six. Bathroom was so moldy is made the whole room smell. Linens were in very poor shape, AC not working and when we complained the staff said what do...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
