Hotel's Favourite
Amazing location and charming “boutique” hotel style. Staff are very welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. I’d stay there again without hesitation. I lived in Paris for many years and absolutely fell in love with the area thanks to this recent trip and hotel choice. There’s such a great variety of shops and restaurants in the neighborhood and the street itself offers an amazing view of one of the last surviving old mills. They have a small area for breakfast (which had plenty of local pastries/breads and other breakfast staples) or afternoon drinks/snacks which made it nice option for a morning meal for us for a couple of the days we were there. There are an abundance of cafes within 3 minute walk for other days that you wish to try the other local options . We warmly recommend this hotel!!

This hotel was renovated during Lockdown and it is modern, fresh and the rooms are very comfortable. It represents great value for money as the rooms are sound proofed and everything is new. It is located in a very quiet side street but close to the Sacre Coeur. The staff are friendly, polite and extremely attentive - they really care about making sure that their customers are happy.
The hotel is not serving breakfast yet while Covid restrictions still apply, but there are so many bars and restaurants just moments away that you can find any type of meal that you want without having to walk far at all.

We absolutely loved staying at the Hotel des Arts! The staff are exceptionally nice, well-trained, and very helpful with anything you need. The honor bar in the lobby area with light snacks and drinks was especially nice to "come home to" after a long day of sightseeing.
Our room was wonderful, the bed was very comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed staying in the heart of Montmartre. In spite of the central location (lots of restaurants, stores, grocery, etc within easy walking distance) the high quality windows kept our room very quiet in the evening. It's a bit of walk to the metro stations (situated about half way between two stations), but we had no problems at all with that. In fact, that made the area feel much more like a local neighborhood and quite safe. We never felt uneasy walking around, even after dark in the early evening.
This was our first trip to Paris, and we couldn't be happier with our choice of hotel. Staying at the Hotel des Arts was truly one of the best parts of our trip, and we can't wait to go back. We felt that the nightly rate ( in early May 2022) was very reasonable for the quality of the room, property, and exceptional customer service. If you like small family-run hotels with personal touches, situated a bit off the Paris touristy beaten-path, and don't want to pay outrageous hotel prices in the center of the city, this is the place for you. We highly recommend!

This is my home away from home. Meticulous in its details and customer service, personalized hospitality from beginning to end. The rooms are very clean- well equipped (coffee maker, flat screen, AC/Heat unit), and I enjoyed the bathtub/shower unit. The room was quiet, the hotel decor is inviting, and the amenities are updated. Did not get to use the Spa due to Covid restrictions. Given the latter, staff ensured the in-house dining rules were clear, all while going above and beyond to provide neighborhood finds for take out dining, and accommodate a socially distanced dining setting. Fresh juices and a wide selection of teas and a great espresso machine were greatly appreciated.
The 18th arrondissement is full of charm! The hotel is within walking distance to two metro stations, and a stone’s throw from boutiques and great dining options. I’ve stayed here three times altogether, and will be back when next in Paris. Highly recommend!

I have been visiting the Hotel des Arts in Montmartre since 2009 though I had a break between 2016 and 2021 owing to personal circumstances and the pandemic. I needed last-minute accommodation in Paris, and the Hotel des Arts accommodated me for three nights. I had forgotten what a delightful experience it is to stay here and very much enhanced by the renovations made to the hotel. I had single occupancy of a standard room, and it was cosy, well-appointed. It was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. A compact bathroom with l'Occitane products. There's a hostess tray in the room with a small kettle, teas and coffees.
The Hotel des Arts always has been and still is, a very friendly establishment. The staff is lovely, kind, friendly and professional. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfasts are great value for money with a choice of quality ingredients which would please most tastes.
Montmartre itself is super-cute with a range of bars, restaurants and is very lively. Studio 28 is across the road from the Hotel des Arts, with a good programme of movies and interior fixtures designed by Jean Cocteau for those who like art house cinemas.
Access to other parts of Paris is good as the area is well served by buses and the Metro. The Metro takes you right down to the left bank and near some of the great museums (Louvre, Orsay, Rodin's House, Les Invalides &c.)
Last but not least, for the quality of rooms and service the hotel is excellent value for money.

This hotel has a wonderful location, in the heart of Montmartre, on a quiet side street.
It is currently undergoing renovation, so the reception area is rather dusty.
The room was ok, but tiny. We were given an upgrade (which was great), but still there was very little room to move. Bathroom was similarly extremely small, though clean and functional. There was nowhere to hang coats at all, which was frustrating.
We stayed for two nights. After the first night, I received an email from the hotel, asking me to rate the hotel. I gave it the second highest rating and, rather oddly, 30 minutes later reception phoned our room to ask what was wrong. I realise this was meant to be good customer service, but it felt rather intrusive and like we were put on the spot. We stammered something about wanting coat hooks, which we admit sounded a bit petty, but it was something that was annoying us as coats had to be put on the floor or on the one small chair in the room.
When we checked out the next day, the receptionist again brought it up. We said that the room was fine, don't worry, but coat hooks would have been nice. She said she wanted to compensate us; we said no, it was fine. We then had a strange bidding war when she kept offering more money as compensation. In the end, we said yes (it was a surreal conversation) and she said she would refund 60 euros to our card, and that it would take a few days.
We left the hotel feeling slightly bemused, because our stay there was fine, we weren't complaining, we wouldn't have mentioned the coat hooks if they hadn't kept asking why we weren't 100% satisfied.
And then.... the promised 60 euros never materialised. We didn't chase it, because we felt a bit awkward about it as it was. The whole situation was a bit strange.
We'd probably choose another hotel next time. It wasn't awful, just small rooms and odd customer service. Not to mention the coat hooks!

Dear Amanda, Thank you for shearing your experience of your stay at the Hotel des arts . Its is always a great pleasure to read what our guests thing of their stay with us . I am surprised for your feedback . You have so well describe it, we sent you an email to find out how your stay was going, nothing was reported except an orange smiley, to tell us that you where not totally satisfied by your stay , however nothing more . We had to call you in the room to find out more. At no time there was question of a refund, knowing that your dissatisfaction concerned first of all only the lack of hooks in the room for your coat, and at the check out , the size of the room, which is given in the description of the room. Best regards ,

My husband and I were in Paris for 5 nights the end of Nov-beg Dec 2019 & we stayed at Hotel des Artes in Montmartre. Since Paris is infamous for the size of it’s hotel rooms, I was VERY surprised and happy upon check-in to see that our room was spacious (definitely by European boutique hotel standards). Likewise, the bathroom also had plenty of room.
The hotel is in a perfect location. It is 500ft from one of the main streets that has a bunch of cafes, restaurants, shops, a fish stand, cheese & pastry stores. It’s about a 5 minute walk to one of 2 metro stations (which we took almost daily). Finally, Sacre Coeur is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. A couple of nights we strolled around the area that surrounds the Basillica and had a great view of the Eiffel Tower at night.
The staff at the hotel were fabulous! They helped us with directions, suggested restaurants, and were all around very courteous, friendly and helpful.
The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because 3 of the 5 days when we got back to our room for a break during the day, the smell of cigarette smoke was pungent and permeating the fibers of our clothes & the sheets on the bed. I tried to open the window, but the smell made it worse. That’s when I put 2 & 2 together and realized it was coming from the people doing the renovations on the hotel. Other than that, we had a great time in Paris & would definitely stay at Hotel des Arts again!

We do not usually stay at the same hotel twice, as we like to try out new places but when we decided to have our first trip to Paris in 10 years we also decided to return to this hotel, as it was so good the first time. The excellent reviews gave us confidence that it would still be good and we were not disappointed. The hotel is ideally located in Montmatre and the rooms, although typically small, are comfortable, clean and have everything you might need. Our room (6) in the little courtyard at the rear was lovely and quiet, making for an undisturbed sleep. As others have mentioned all members of staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We did not have breakfast in the hotel preferring to frequent some of the places close by - La Bossue being our favourite. The Place du Tertre is great for sitting with a drink and watching the artists but be prepared for the exorbitant prices - when we flinched at the bill of 14 euros for two coffees the waiter explained with quite some understatement that 'prices are high in Montmatre'. All in all a great trip and a highly recommended hotel.

My husband and I were sad to leave this fabulous hotel today. Booked five nights but extended and stayed for ten!! Our room was immaculate, small but cozy, smelled wonderful from the l’occitane bath products, and had a window that looked out onto Parisian rooftops, and we could even see the Eiffel Tower!! The staff were wonderful, helpful, kind, and so welcoming. Breakfasts were yummy and coffee was plentiful and perfect! It was nice at the end of a long day to return to a place that felt like home. Montmartre is such a great neighborhood, and we walked EVERYWHERE with ease! We will definitely return to this gem!

This was the most wonderful hotel we could have possibly imagined. The staff were incredible and so kind. The reception was 24/7 which is super handy. The decor was so chic and we adored our cosy room (5). The toiletries were a brilliant touch, I loved having l’octitane products in the room. The bed was so comfortable we slept wonderfully every night. There is nothing I can say that’s negative as it was just totally perfect. Great location too. Nothing was too much trouble. They even left a bottle of champagne and balloons for my belated birthday.
I would recommend everyone to stay here.

No mini bar, but downstairs are complementary beverages, the room has coffee, tea and kettle to warm water, fresh sparkling or still is available in the room. Which can be filled at any time!
There is a kettle in the room, and there is also a 24-hour accessible area in the lobby that has coffee, tea, ice, etc.
Not that savvy regarding the actual speeds but an email to the hotel will give you definitive information.
I believe the check in time is 3:00 p.m. However, if you arrive earlier than that like we did, they will store your luggage and you can explore the area until check in time. There are many cafes close by if you wanted to get something to eat and/or drink.
