We stayed in the Montreal room. The room is small but tidy and clean - perfect for a weekend stay. The location was ideal and we paid probably the lowest rate around for a stay in Paris. The only negative is that the room would get quite hot at night, but we simply kept the window slightly open on the...

We enjoyed our stay in hotel Monte Carlo, arrived 4h before check in and left our luggage. Beautiful and quiet neighborhood, with the best metro stations 1 and 5 minutes away. Short walk to Sacre Coeur, Louvre and Galleries Lafayette, and long but possible walk to Eiffel tower. :) Room was clean, neat, with very good heating, and the lovely...

In Paris Metro location is everything. Having a 2 minute walk to a metro stop von one of the most used Metro lines is key and this hotel is perfect for that. The service is great as I had a complication that was dealt with speedily and generously. My room had ensuite shower and sink and a nearby toilet a...

I've been to Paris many times and stayed in lots of different hotels. Rooms are pretty much always small and expensive if you want to stay centrally. So for 40 euros a night, I didn't have terribly high expectations for the Hotel Monte Carlo, and ended up really happy with this choice. One caveat: that rate was for a room...

Friendly staff, clean and quiet place. Close to city centre. Price is good if to compare with other city centre hotels. Breakfast is expensive . Rooms are small but look good. Ask for discount at the desk. Restaurants and shops are close to the hotel

This was our first stay in Paris. We had chosen Hotel Monte Carlo based on the reviews on Tripadvisor and we were not dissapointed. The hotel is so cosy. Our room was small (tiny) but so nice and very clean. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel because there are so many eating choices right infront of the doorstep. The...

Previous reviewers have pointed out that the rooms are small, hot during the summer and noisy due to the street and doors closing. While they make a valid point, we had a great four nights at this hotel, partly due to us expecting these things and a lot to do with the incredible value for money, the quirky character of...

We arrived well before checkin(10am) after taking the Eurostar train from London. The person at the front desk (I didn't have time to catch his name but I got the impression he's the owner) immediately offered to take our size suitcases but then went on to give us explicit directions to The Louvre and Montmare on a map he provided...

Stayed here in June 2015. The hotel was clean, quiet and in an excellent location. The rooms are small, but, perfectly functional, modern, and not all that small compared to other places I've stayed. For only a few euros more per night than the cheaper hotels further from the center and more rustique this hotel is well well worth it. Parking...

This is a nice small hotel in Montmartre, close to big boulevards, as well as Nord and East railway stations, perfect to spend 1-2 nights. Rooms are small, but clean and OK, staff is friendly and English speaking. Price is surprisingly low. There are several nice restaurants nearly, one is 100 m from hotel along the street.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
