Great place to stay in central Paris. Staff are ultra friendly and helpful The place is cool and pretty funky - almost like a Paris version of the Hoxton Hotel in London Highly recommended and we stayed here on 2 separate nights

Absolutely satisfied with this place. The staff were great & the location was okay but away from the major traffic streets & major sites. Two different metro lines not far from hotel, restaurants just around the block if you want something other than the downstairs restaurant. It's a little noisy at times since it is a trendy hotel with a...

Good review first...the staff was amazingly friendly for Paris! Unfortunately, that is the only good thing about this place. The location is just awful. As a single woman traveler, I simply did not feel safe walking to / from this hotel to the major sights. Loads of sex shops, peep shows and prostitutes around the hotel, and dodgy looking shops...

Dear Nicole, We are really sorry to read that your stay in Paris was not upto your expectations! The hotel is located in "Sentier" and you are right, it is not a classical tourist area. However, it is a very attractive and trendy area of Paris and the press is really talking a lot about it because of its expansion,...

Room is soooooooo small, but the staff is sooooo great! Also the location at 2nd arr. is very central. Quiet with a pleasant breakfast whenever and wherever you like (just don't have it in the room as the tray doesn't go in ...) room is very clean, badly misses a mirror and a minibar.

Dear Itziwine What a comment !! If you come back, we will definitely one more time do wathever it takes to get another comment like that. You are absolutely right to say that some rooms are missing a mirror storey, it is also fun as we just bought 2 mirrors storey for 2 rooms, I still have few to find....

Stayed just one Sunday night in August, but room no 11 had what I needed, clean bathroom, clean bed, interesting interior, quiet. As always in Europe there are rarely an elevators, but not a huge problem unless you have a lot of luggage. Air conditioning worked great, as well as WiFi.

We happened to be staying at an AirBnB in Saint-Denis and wandered across Hotel Edgar. I ordered the Veg Sunday Brunch meal and it was super delish! Lovely place, nice staff and really good food! Hubster had the fish and chips. The dessert was also super yummy, especially the Chocolate mousse with banana and hazelnuts!

Best place to stay in central Paris. Very convenient. In the heart of the city center. The rooms are super clean, elegant, artsy and quiet. Great food; order the fish for dinner. Good breakfast buffet. Excellent terrace overlooking a small leafy square. Nice background music. Closest metro is Réaumur-Sebastopol

I've been traveling to Paris for work quite frequently and my usual hotels were booked this trip. I decided to try out Hotel Edgar based on a recommendation from a colleague. It's a boutique hotel with a great restaurant/bar on the lower level which was always full when I arrived 'home' from work. The staff is fantastic and happy to...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
