Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Looking for a less expensive hotel in Paris, we decided on the Hotel Nadaud, in the 20th arrondissement and very close to Père Lachaise cemetery. We're glad we did. It's a budget hotel with a very friendly staff and a lift (we stayed on the fifth floor.) The room was small, but adequate. The bathroom was modern and thoughtfully designed and equipped. The hotel offers in-room breakfast if desired, but so many nearby cafés offer the same for lower price, we used it only once. I knew little about the neighborhood, Ménilmontant, which we found lively and attractive; full of shops, cafés, and restaurants. The Nadaud is two minutes from Gambetta Metro stop, which, of course, connects you to all of Paris. The 61 and 69 busses are also right there, that connect to the Gares de Lyon and Place de la République. I recommend the Hotel Nadaud for its location, price, and friendliness.

One of the best hotels we have stayed on. We have paid a lot more before and stayed in 4 star hotels that weren’t as good. This was excellent value for money. The room was very clean. Although no tea making facilities you can ask for a kettle. Also an iron and ironing board are available on request. The staff were brilliant. Very professional and friendly. We had a lovely room with a view of the Eiffel Tower.(it is in the distance but still very visible especially when it sparkles at night). Metro line 3 is right outside hotel. So even though you are not in the centre of Paris you are only a 15 min metro ride away. They are some very nice restaurants and bars in the area plus plenty of good local shops. Very safe and convenient area. Right next to Pere Lachaise. Which is well worth a visit. We will definitely use Hotel Nadaud again and recommend to our friends.

This hotel deserves its good rating, despite reviews being relatively few and far between recently. The staff are friendly and despite claiming the contrary when they phoned to double check my arrival time, speak excellent English. The room was simply furnished but, together with the bathroom, spotlessly clean. The hotel is located less than a minute from the Metro in a quiet street, but just around the corner from some pleasant bars, cafés, and restaurants. The Metro makes access to the city centre very quick and easy while the famous Cimetière du Père Lachaise is on your doorstep. Front door locked at night but you are provided with door access code which works fine. I normally stay in other parts of the city but liked the hotel and area and I would definitely return. Excellent value for money.

Worth staying in this hotel! Cute and petit, with clean rooms, breakfast served at room every morning! The gentleman at the reception was really helpful. Kind personnel. Our room was almost at the corner and every night we could stare at the Eiffel Tower! The most important thing is that the neighborhood was super safe with lots of shops and stores you would need, and the metro station literally IN THE CORNER of the hotel door. Higly recommended. If we visit Paris again, we will book again Nadaud! Thank you!

Fantastic, for a two star hotel it is just perfect. The price is amazing and breakfast included in your room! Very clean. Convenient for the metro, handy for restaurants and cafes. The staff are delightful.

Great and comfortable hotel if you're looking to save some money and don't mind travelling a bit to get to the city center. Clean, good-sized rooms (especially for French standards); comfortable and large beds; noisy street but with the windows closed you don't hear anything; nice, French breakfast is served in your room at the time you agreed on; tv, a/c, heating in the room; friendly staff. It takes about 20-30 mins by public transport to get to the center of Paris, but the metro is just around the corner and there is a direct bus to Gare du Lyon. Neighborhood is quite nice with different restaurants, bars and bistro's and some shops within 10 mins walking from the hotel. Good value for money and would definitely come back here again!

I could not give 5 stars to this hotel simply because it is a 2-star hotel and thus, lacks the amenities provided by fancy hotel. But if one just needs a clean room ad a place to shower, this hotel is super. Looks like the bathroom has just been renovated and we loved the strong water pressure in the shower. I like the hotel's concern for the environment by not providing small bottled amenities (shampoo, lotion, etc.) which end up in landfills. Instead, they installed shower gel dispenser in the shower and hand soap dispenser in the sink. Hotel will arrange for taxi if needed. Although located in the 20th arrondissement, one can reach the city center via metro in about 30 minutes. Just 5 minutes walk from the Gambeta metro station.

We were very pleased with the quick and thorough email correspondance we had before our trip with this hotel. It was recommended because of a friend who lives near by. We wanted a "non-touristy" style of hotel and felt this was perfect. We had an incredible view of the Paris sky line, Eiffel Tour, Montmartre etc. Staff was always extremely helpful with all requests including with getting a mistake booking through Agoda fixed without a penalty. They spent 20 min on the phone helping get our SIM card activated also.

The hotel is a lovely small hotel. My room was renovated, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast is served to the room, which is a good solution as the hotel lacks a dining room. Pay attention: most of the rooms are equipped with fans and lack air condition. The air conditioned rooms share the toilet on the floor. I chose a room with a fan and a private toilet, but gladly I had an excellent weather in July.

You must be prepared with at least double the amount for the same reservation. The hotel blocks preauthorization amount from your card as well as charges for the room on arrival. The preauthorization is not released immediately and the hotel asks you in a rude and arrogant way to contact your bank for release, as it is not their problem. Unfortunately, the manger of the hotel knows little English, has to google the words and has no customer skills when confronted with complaints. The use of someone's credit card must be handled with care for the customer and all charges and ways of getting the money back must be clear. It is "your problem" and contact your bank is a bad example of service from the hotel. Because my bank account is not a play toy for someones free will so they can block my money for their peace of mind ruining mine. The so called surprise with breakfast in bed only means that although you pay for breakfast there is no room designed to have breakfast, therefore you receive a tray for two, handed by the cleaning lady which you have nowhere to put. Table has only one chair. Breakfast in bed for two eating from one tray is a very uncomfortable experience and not at all as in the movies, although you are likely to think it will be. The 8 euro breakfast gives you only croissant and a bred for two which comes with jam and honey. If you are diabetic, it's probably your problem as the offer does not contain anything else. It was a very bad surprise as this breakfast does not worth the money paid for it. For a breakfast worth of 2 Euros you are charged 16 Euros. For the same amount of money you can choose in central Paris better hotel. AVOID THIS HOTEL !!!!!!
