Stayed here during a businesstrip. Perfect location if you need to be in Le Marais. I had room 302, really spacious for Paris standards. Bathroom even more spacious. Minibar and you can make coffee/tea. Free WiFi. Staff are really friendly and speak English Why I don't give 3 or 4 stars: Towels really thin/bit old Colleagues stayed in others rooms...

I do understand that this is only a 3-star...but gosh this comes up lacking! The room is tiny and missing some basics - like soap in the bathroom! The bed was collapsing on the one side - so my sleep was horrid! I was asked to leave my key at the front desk in the morning - but they wouldn't...

This was a great hotel that let you see Paris for what it is! It was great being immersed in the city! The only complaints I have is that the bed was very firm and there is no a/c in the room, so it can get pretty hard to sleep unless you open the windows. Even with the windows open,...

I think that Hotel Bastille Speria is an excellent hotel for the money. The front desk staff speaks English, so that was helpful. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. Elevator is tiny, but does the job. Location is outstanding, right near the Metro and tons of good restaurants in the Marais area. We did find ourselves needing toilet...

Pros: Location was convenient to Gare du Nord and parts of the city I wished to visit. Functional room design for one person, nice wardrobe to house your clothes and included a safe. On a high floor yet still heard street noise with windows opened. Had a minibar/small fridge which was great since I stored breakfast items. They have a...

We stayed twice at this hotel and were surprised by the size of the room (compared to other Paris hotels). POSITIVE;room to move, separate toilet from bathroom, good hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar, great location, very close to Metro, quiet neighborhood at night, great window glazing, lovely helpful staff. NEGATIVE; plug in bath did not fit so...

This small hotel just off the place de la Bastille is an ideal and affordable spot for a weekend in the city. The rooms are clean, good size, and the bathroom in our room was very big. The staff were lovely, always helpful and pleasant. We didn't eat there, but there's a huge amount of choice locally for restaurants, cafés...

The rooms are small but you have everything you need. The staff was very nice, the room was very clean with a large bathroom and there was plenty of hot water. Other reviewers mentioned problems with the Wi-Fi but we did not have any problems. This is not a fancy, high end hotel with concierge services but if you're looking...

Hotel bumped me off after a confirmed reservation today. Showed the confirmed reservation printout to the front desk on arriving at Noon, but they said the hotel was full and they don't see the reservation in their system. Sent me to a shady sister hotel instead where I did not feel safe. Very unethical. Had picked this hotel after seeing...

Madame. We always honor confirmed reservations. You forgot to mention that your arrival date was wrong, and the hotel was full. We kindly help you to find a solution. Make sure in the future to reserve at the good date. Regards La direction

We really liked this little hotel and it is certainly very well located near Bastille metro and within a stones through of bars restaurants and many attractions. The room was small but very clean and comfortable and we liked being high up with our street view. Breakfast was fine but unnecessary as there are many local cafes serving the same...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
