We stayed here for 3 nights and found it a lovely experience. The young man on reception was very helpful and friendly. The décor was lovely and the breakfast room beautifully appointed with lovely food. However, the room was quite small and the "tea and coffee on offer all day" was disappointing as there was no tea and the machine...

For the third year in a row, we stayed at this wonderful hotel. It is convenient to the Métro, within walking distance of the Jardins du Luxembourg, the Edgar Quinet markets on the weekend, there are lots of great restaurants and the staff is very friendly and helpful. After just our second day, the young man at the desk would...

This hotel is in a nice area in Montparnasse, with lots if restaurants. There is no coffee/tea making facility in the room, I really miss this. There is not even a Starbucks/coffee house nearby. I love my coffee. What they do have in the hotel is expresso, but That is not everyone,s cup of tea if you get my drift....

I have stayed here twice and would be happy to do so again. A clean and comfortable hotel. Good basic continental style breakfast. Most pleasant staff in reception and dining room. A little out of the central area although you could walk in. But located a couple of minutes walk from the Raspail metro station or Vavin. Montparnasse is a...

We went to this hotel last August to celebrate our silver wedding. We enjoyed it so much, we came back this year with our daughters. We've been upgraded on both occasions. The rooms size is fine - from looking at pictures of other Parisian hotels, many seem to be very small. The point is, if you are a tourist in...

I booked this hotel through GoToday.com, that handled our travel plans. This allowed us to have free breakfast which was nice. Overall it was clean, nice neighborhood, it's consider the 14th arrondissement of Paris, montparnasse district. Convenient metro closeby, farmacia, boulangerie, grocery, love the lil bistro next to the hotel, Le Petit Broc, casual good food after a long day...

Stayed here for two nights. Hotel and the room itself were very clean but the room was so tiny! We stayed in a standard room, so were expecting a basic room and en-suite. The room was nicely decorated. However, the small window we had looked out into a tiny column of space (could not see daylight, unless I leaned right...

This is a great lil hotel- perfect to 2 major train stations that got us to pretty much everywhere we wanted to go. Decent enough English speaking concierges (and even one that helped you learn french!) The room was European small- the bathroom was bigger than the bedroom! Overall, it is great-near Tour Montparnasse and is the best area for...

We just stayed at this hotel in July...highly recommend it...value was good and we were upgraded to a suite! Staff very helpful and it is located walking distance to metro stops! Can take metro to airport...very easy and saves cost of a taxi. Also it has AC which is great for summer visits.

Hotel is located in a nice area with lots of restaurants/cafes close by and the stop for the Hop On Hop off bus was only 100 meters up Raspail road. It seems to be an affluent area of Paris and we felt safe. The Metro station was only around the corner. The Staff spoke English very well and were very...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
