Tried this hotel for an emergency overnight stay in Paris. First room I was given had a strong urine smell. I had to ask the receptionist to come and check before they gave me another room. The second room was fine. No frill easyJet type of room. Minimal amenities, small but functional shower. Cleanish room and bed. At 40euros per...

Hotel is very good value for money. It is just 100 meters from metro station which is very important in Paris. Nice, quite neighborhood and polite stuff. Rooms are very light and proper size and bathroom is very clean. In the room, there are 3 sockets so you can easily charge your mobile and camera. Overall, it is one charming...

The room was nice and clean. The staff was nice. Touching any metal in the bathroom while the floor was wet would give you a little jolt. That includes the shower valve, the sink faucet, and the toilet paper holder. We told the staff and they seemed concerned, but we kept getting zapped.

Booked through trip advisor and got a stretch on my money 49eu. They prefer to charge 90 euros a night. Ha ha ha! To make up for that I got rudeness in bulk and nickel and diming. Basically it's a 19th century renovation hotel. Gets the job done nothing more

Myself and partner visited Paris November 2013 for 5 year anniversary. Was looking for something not overly expensive and came across this lovely place. We arrived quite late at night - around midnight - and checked in pretty rapidly. We were given lays to a room on the ground floor and couldn't actually get into the room! The man on...

Booked via HotelClub for a total of 17 nights at an average of AUD$78 per night As detailed by previous reviewers, hotel Patio Brancion is on a quiet street in a relatively modest and safe neighbourhood, under a minute (~40-50 second stroll) to the Metro station Plateau de Vanves. It provided my wife and I a clean and spacious (by...

The location of the hotel is definitely a plus: it is right next to the metro station Plateau de Vanves, which makes it easy to reach main Paris attractions. Although the metro station is right around the corner, the hotel itself is on a quiet street, and no noise from the traffic reaches it. The hotel offers modest, but decent...

I enjoyed my stay here. As I was alone, I found it a safe and clean environment. A lot of family's where around. The room was great. Looked up-to-date instead of run down like a few places I've been to. The room also had a bath, which I was thankful for, those cobbled streets can kill your feet. The breakfast...

Just back from a great 4 nights in Paris staying at Patio Brancion. Having had such a busy year I wanted to get away for a few days with my boyfriend to Paris. We'd managed to get cheap easyjet flights to Charles de Gaulle and was looking for a cheap, clean hotel with bathroom (many hotels in this price range...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
