This was our third trip in twelve months & it was even better than the last two trips. The room (a club) had a view over the Place Saint Sulpice & was spacious, comfortable & the decor beautiful. The location is ideal & surprisingly quiet. The small lounge is also very attractive & comfortable. The staff are without exception charming...

My 12-year old daughter and I recently returned from Paris. We stayed at the Hotel Recamier for several nights. If you like charming hotels in quiet neighborhoods with excellent shopping, dining and beautiful sights, then this hotel is a perfect choice. The hotel is right across from Saint Sulpice church and the views of the church and fountain are terrific....

We had such a warm welcome at the Hotel Recamier. Having lived in Paris a few years ago we returned for our first wedding anniversary and we knew wanted to stay on the left bank. The hotel was the perfect location for shopping, restaurants, jardin du luxembourg and exploring all the little streets and had a calming relaxing vibe to...

If you are looking for a central, chic, yet discreet and secluded Parisian little hotel, at the doorstep of what is arguably some of the best shopping district in the whole world, the Recamier Hotel is definitely for you! I simply love this place and cannot quite decide whether this is because it happens to be located opposite the church...

Set in a gorgeogous courtyard overlooking the Church of Saint Sulpice the location could not have been better. Quaint, chic boutique hotel was lovely from start to finish. We occupied two rooms over a 5 night stay (interconnecting) as a family of four which was lovely and allowed us more space (if size is an issue). Beautiful furnishings, lounge was...

A discreet and elegant hotel with charming staff and thoughtful fabulous design. A quiet area of Paris with Delacroix murals foot steps away. So small and pretty this hotel feels more like a private house where nothing is too much trouble and one is never disturbed

This beautiful small hotel is right next to the San Sulpice cathedral, the home of a wonderful organ in its weekly organ concerts. Some very good restaurants are close by although for breakfast my husband always insisted on eating the chocolate croissants in house. This is in walking distance to everything: Cluny, Louvre, Notre Dame. A short train ride takes...

Hotel Recamier is somewhat hidden just off Place Saint-Sulpice in the 6th, and that's a good thing. This quiet, small luxury hotel is just what a boutique hotel should be with impeccable service and comfortable rooms. Attention to every detail is captured from the towel warmers in the bath room to the little reading lights above the bed to a...

if you are looking for perfect experience in Paris this is hotel for you! Well it does not have the Eiffel view, but then again when you get to the Eiffel you have enough views there. And I did not come to Paris to sit in hotel room, but after long days walking and dinner the beds where soft, wifi...

This is a lovely boutique hotel. Very friendly service, modern sophisticated design. Our room was small but very comfortable. All the amenities you expect in a room, comfortable double bed and very quiet, good bathroom and shower, heated mirror, scales all the details you expect in a good four star hotel. There is no restaurant but a lounge that serves...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Discreetly nestled behind the trees on Place Saint Sulpice in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés area, Hotel Récamier is about to become a new exclusive address in Paris. The hotel should meet the expectations of travellers in search of confidential addresses such as those exchanged between well travelled and demanding friends.Half of the 24 rooms have a direct view on the place.
