Excellent hotel with professional and friendly staff. Elegant public areas, comfortable luxurious rooms. In my view the perfect location on Place St. Sulpice, with great shopping, dinning and sightseeing on your doorstep.

My wife and I just returned from Paris yesterday, having stayed at the Recamier for 10 nights. I selected the Recamier primarily based on location and reviews, and we really could not have been more pleased. This is a quality boutique hotel in every way. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. All staff speaks very good English, which...

The space was very small but that's to be expected in Paris. My issue is that before I booked, I called to ask reception if when I checked in, if there was availability, would they grant me a complimentary upgrade. They said they would. So I was surprised that I checked in and asked if there was availability they said...

Been visiting this hotel when in Paris for a few years now. Great location next to Saint Sulpice and all the shops, yet very quiet. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Rooms are well appointed, good mattress and amenities. Small structure, which makes you feel at home. On last visit lift was broken and we were on the 6th floor with...

This hotel is wonderful. Not only is it a very nice decorated boutique hotel, it is also located on one of the best spots in Paris. Close to the metro, near good restaurants that are not expensive. The inside is simply gorgeous. And if you visit in summer you can sit outside for a drink. Beautiful. The rooms are very...

Spent a long week-end at the hotel and I would definitely stay there again. Loved the location and the staff is super friendly. The rooms are small, bed comfortable and the bathroom excellent. The offer tea and cake in the afternoon which is nice when you return from your activities.

We stayed in le Récamier for a weekend. The hotel is situated in a nice part of the sixth arr. The St Sulpice church is wonderful and you can walk/bike/métro your way around. The room was a small, bit comfortable. A bit annoying that - on the sixth floor - the elevator was broken the whole weekend. All considered, a...

This hotel is quietly and safely situated off of the St Surplice courtyard which makes it perfect for sightseeing, shopping, or strolling. The staff is just as nice and helpful and the reviews commented. They take good care of you as a guest. We loved our quiet room that was street facing (but quiet with a church just outside).

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Discreetly nestled behind the trees on Place Saint Sulpice in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés area, Hotel Récamier is about to become a new exclusive address in Paris. The hotel should meet the expectations of travellers in search of confidential addresses such as those exchanged between well travelled and demanding friends.Half of the 24 rooms have a direct view on the place. The rooms have been superbly revamped by the renowned interior designer Jean Louis Deniot who was inspired to create 24 entirely different rooms with one theme per floor. On a classical basis he has added some eclecticism inspired by the various 20th century decorative styles.
