It was my 1st trip to Paris and I stayed at Hotel du Moulin for 4 nights. Despite my very poor sense of directions, i managed to find the hotel with ease as it was just a 3-min walk from the metro (Blanche). The room reminded me of those in Japan (tiny, compact but space was very well utilised) but...

We've just returned from a 5 night break in Paris at the Hotel Du Moulin and had a really great time. Firstly the hotel itself: The staff are really friendly and smiley and happy to help. The rooms were cleaned daily with bedding and towels replaced daily too. The room itself was fairly small but for the price was well...

Good location on Montmartre, clean, comfortable. Had a garden facing room - was expecting a bathtub, little disappointed to find a small shower. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Great budget hotel. Very nice big room and bed. Stayed in Room 5 in front of garden. Only thing I dislike is getting in the shower since it was small. Nice little hotel. I rated it a 2.5 all most 3

We picked this hotel for its location and price (after much reading on Trip Advisor). We were 3 adults and 2 children. As we were only there for 2 nights we decided that if we did not get too much sleep we could always catch up after the weekend! For a 2 Star hotel it was all it claimed to...

We stayed for a night in Hotel Du Moulin. We had a relatively ok stay, and I would recommend it for anyone who wishes to see Moulin Rouge or spend a night in Paris. The negative sides of it: - Quite far to get to by metro. - Area around it is very dodgy and could be very very noisy...

This hotel is a nice hotel in Montemarte. If you take the Metro it is up the hill from the station and on a hard to find sidestreet. I had a heavy bag, and I looked up the directions to the wrong hotel before I left, the Moulin Plaza. Fortunately, they were not far apart. The hotel is in the...

I agree with all of the positive things that people have noted in the past! location is great, people are very nice and helpful, great eats around the neighborhood. My husband and I were very displeased with our room assignment. I don't know if the very friendly owner was left with no choice but to give us a room that...

The Hotel Du Moulin was chosen for its location - it is within 5 minutes of a metro (and hence very easy to reach from Charles De Gaulle airport) in the pleasant Montmartre area, on a quiet street off the main roads. The hotel room was small, as was the bathroom. There was no shower curtain. The walls are reasonably...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
