Me and my friend stayed at Hotel Eugene en Ville from 17-20 march. It was fantastic, our room got upgraded. We had a huge terrace and a beautiful room, excellent for us. We loved the area, it was quiet and what we typical linked to Paris. The receptionists were so helpful and nice (can't remember their name:( ). The only...

Dearest guest, Thank you so much for your wonderful review granted to Eugene en Ville Hotel. From time to time Eugène loves to surprise his guests. Let's say a terrace as big as your room size cannot be anything else but surprising! We are happy this attention left you with such a remembering. As for the front desk team -...

This was our last hotel in Paris and we enjoyed staying here very much. The room was well designed and we loved the black walls and silver and gold features. The speakers in the bathroom where also a nice touch. The hotel was also very near to Gare du Nord-Montmatre and Rue Lafayette. Breakfast was good too. We would definitely...

The staff and location of this hotel are great but the decor is very dark. Our first room had a very bad smell and on reporting this they said someone would open the windows and spray freshener - hardly what I would call a solution. When we returned after some sight seeing the room didnt smell any better and i...

Please read my review on Eugene en ville's website as I have left a somewhat lengthy one there. The bottomline is, it's really the best hotel to stay in where you are in Paris. The staff, the room, the location, etc. I know you will be pleasantly surprised as I was. It's my second stay there in my two trips...

We stayed there for 3 nights, the staff is very helpful, the location is perfect - although the rooms are a bit too dark (walls are painted in black) and I would recommend asking for a bathroom with door (otherwise you get a curtain which is annoying depending on who you are staying with!) but overall it is a nice...

I've stayed here a number of times, and while usually for business, I have stayed for pleasure and I've found few hotels that could handle both seamlessly. Often for work I have to take the RER, and it is a short walk to Gare du Nord. For free time, it's an even shorter walk to Galleries Lafayette, Opera, and from...

I LOVED staying here. The rooms are amazing, clean and comfortable. Great price, as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of eateries, shops and bars/pubs around the area. Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
An impromptu pied a terre or a Parisian holiday address for an extended stay, Hotel Eugene en Ville offers guests superior hospitality with spirited service. The emphasis is on creating a mixed palette of styles. The raw-finished walls and industrial furniture poke fun at more traditional features and appointments. Dark Victorian patinas, ornate mirrors and candelabras, soft, cosy armchairs and curios – all handpicked from antique shops and markets – create a style that is at once refined and iconoclastic. The chemistry is simply compelling. On the same eccentric register, a giant screen shows snippets of life inside a luxury hotel: an unconventional film that takes a witty look at an establishment that is well and truly frequented in every sense of the word. The hotel has inherited the sort of elegance that never seeks to look overly sophisticated. It possesses the kind of charm that always feels spontaneous: that truly Parisian effortless chic that Eugene holds the secret to. ... more   less
