Convenient location. Very clean room with lovely views. Accomodating front desk staff (they kindly loaned us an umbrella when we went out for dinner on a rainy evening). Breakfast buffet didnt entice me personally, but I wanted to eat breakfast out anyway.

Perfect place to stay. It's close to a lot of nice restaurants and places to have a drink at the end of the day. Very nice neighborhood. Small room, but nice and clean. No air conditioning but its not needed. I stayed on the beginning of May and it was very comfortable. The staff are very nice and helpful. Close...

The hotel is in the Latern quarters, walking distance to train, shops and the Notre Dame. The staff were very helpfully, loved their continental breakfast, especially their baguettes... the rooms are small but I hear most hotel rooms are the same, it is an older building but that is half the appeal, I found the price very good.

This little hotel is perfect! The location is amazing, the staff goes out of their way to be helpful with everything from finding what you need, to making reservations, to figuring out the best way to get somewhere. We loved the big beautiful windows, the super comfy beds, plenty of hot water on demand, and how well thought out everything...

We stayed at the Hotel Du College de France for 2 days last week. The location is perfect, in the heart of Latin Quarter and close to everything. Hotel staff is very helpful and accommodating. We checked in late afternoon, the only double room with balcony left is a room on 5th floor, with lift(elevator) running right thru the middle...

My wife and I stayed in this hotel twice in the space of a week, at each end of our trip. We really enjoyed it. The hotel is charming, very clean and perfectly suited, particularly for a sightseeing vacation in Paris. The room are small, as other reviewers have noted, but this is the classic European style in older urban...

I recently stay at the Hotel du College de France for a little over a week and can recommend it. The hotel seemed recently renovated and the staff were friendly and charming. Great central location in central Paris, easy walking and good metro connections. It is on a quiet street, which in any large city I find a real plus....

Spent 8 nights in room 52, twin with balcony. Loved it, spacious by Latin Quarter standards. Everyone on staff was cheerful and very helpful. Enjoyed the breakfast all 8 days, basic fare, always fresh. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful with my many questions, very much appreciated. The lady on the night desk was so charming, always...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
