Visited this place in the end of September. Advantages: good value for money, closeness to metro, Opera, Monmartre and La Fayette, cosy and authentic reception and lovely patio to have breakfast. Disadvantages: very small room, old rooms with awful bathroom in 3-floors building (while rooms in the other building are normal), poor breakfast (much better variants nearby can be found...

The staff at this small hotel was friendly, accommodating and happily spoke English in response to our questions. The staff knew the area well and gave great directions. The lobby and breakfast area were a lovely blend of quintessential Parisian and New Age Eastern, with soft Asian music and a light touch of incense. Villa Fenelon has a beautiful garden...

We stayed here for 5 nights and loved it! It's a small typical French hotel, which is what we wanted. Our room was on the 5th floor with views out towards the back patio. The decor was nice and the bathroom modern with good water pressure. This little gem is in an old building, but there is one elevator (maximum...

I enjoyed my stay. It's less than a 5 minute walk to the Metro. The guys on the front desk speak English, they're friendly and helpful. I got there early and was given complimentary coffee service. My room was clean, lots of towels and the bed was comfy. Plus my room overlooked the garden. I'd stay there again.

We loved the style & ambience of this little hotel. The reception area and courtyard are beautiful. Lovely lighting and greenery. The lift is teeny & should be seen to be believed - we felt it added to the overall character of the hotel. The whole hotel is very well maintained & it's obvious that all the rooms are being...

This is a good hotel, reasonably close to the centre of Paris. It would benefit from air conditioning as the rooms got very hot in the middle of a Parisean summer (we were on the ground floor with a road facing window (it was either noise or fresh air). Breakfast was fine if a bit light on.

I love this place. Great location. It's very near to Galeri Lafayette and Opera Garnier, you can walk to these places. The hotel is quiet, right opposite the synagogue. Great restaurants around the corner. I know some people complained about the lift, but to me it's unique. Delicious croissants for breakfast, so very Parisien!.

I have stayed in this hotel before, it was over Christmas a few years ago. Its great value for your money, you won't find a cheaper hotel in that location, I paid around $100 CAD per night which is very cheap for Paris and that location. The hotel is definitely not fancy, the rooms are VERY simple and old but...

Interior garden courtyard and friendly staff. Our street facing room was rather hot and noisy at night in 37 degree temperatures as there was only a fan for ventilation and we had to have the widow open but it did have an excellent renovated bathroom so we weren't too worried. Excellent wifi for 1 euro a day. Many good restaurants...

Quaint hotel. Central for all sight seeing north of the river. Most being within 1-1.5 miles. We walked everywhere as metro not disabled friendly. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Wife in a wheelchair so they gave us a terrific bedroom with wet room. Walked straight out into courtyard. Quiet & restful. Great for taking breakfast. The smokers spoiled it...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
