We stayed here for 3 nights in December. The hotel is very well positioned just 2 minutes from the Pigalle Metro and within walking distance of the Gare du Nord and tourist attractions (quite a long walk!). Although the surrounding area is a bit seedy we did not feel unsafe and the hotel itself had a lovely, cosy atmosphere. There...

Stayed here for 1 night while visiting Paris. The hotel is a budget option and it might be good to set your expectations right - hotel rooms in Paris are small and you will not find anything fancy in this price range. However, I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, rooms were clean and all basic amenities were...

We had booked 2 family rooms but when we got there they only had 1 family room for us and gave us 2the 1 family room & 2 doubles instead which was not ideal for us because of the kids so a little frustrating. The famil room we had gave us a picture perfect view out the window of the...

This is a nice compact hotel, recently taken over by Ibis so inside is all newly fitted out, but like most hotels in Paris the rooms are small. Pigalle is fairly colourful, so there a numbers "sexy shops" close by, but it is close by to the metro and Gare du Nord. Room was comfortable and the bed and shower...

After reading numerous reviews about this area and hotel after having booked the stay for my wife, 2 children 7 & 5, and myself, I was worried. This proved to be needless as the hotel was excellent, small but perfectly adequate for the price. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice even for 2 fussy children! Service was really good...

Rooms is really small and is good for 1 peron. Boh of us has a 25" luggage and has hardly any room to move. Walking to Galarie Lafayette takes approx. 30 mins or more and not "that " within walking distance. Breakfast is simple and adequate. Would recommend the open top bus for sightseeing at 29€. There are 4 color...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
