My husband and I absolutely ADORE Hotel Jules and Jim. The location is absolutely perfect, situated right in the heart of it all but tucked away just enough to be able to unwind after a day of sites, galleries, museums and cafes. Their happy hour is brilliant; highly suggest it! We sat for hours chatting with staff and other customers...

This is a great, small hotel in the very nice area of ‘Le Haute Marais’. Lots of small shops, bar and restaurant, love this area. The hotel is not big, rooms are also quite small as normal in Paris, but the bathroom was a surprise as it was a very nice size for Paris standards. The interior is very minimalistic,...

Dear guest, Thanks a lot for taking time to share your experience at our Jules & Jim hotel. We are very glad that you enjoyed the location, the room and the large bathroom. We also are pleased to note that you enjoyed our breakfast, the bar and specifically the staff, wich is very important for us. Thank you for your...

I was so thrilled with Hotel Jules et Jim. The extremely warm and professional welcome extended throughout our stay. It's a solid four star hotel but the hospitality was so perfect it puts many of the five stars I've stayed in to shame. Without exception, the staff are people I'd be grateful and proud to have as houseguests myself. Just...

For Paris standards this hotel is of good quality but I have to question the value for money. I get the impression that you pay for the hip and cool status of this hotel, and not the luxury or eye for details. The location is excellent, no doubt. But for this price I expect a coffee maker, small fridge and...

Dear Lise Marie, First of all, thank you for your feedback and review. We are happy that you like the quality, the location of the Jules & Jim hotel and the upgraded room we offered to you. But you expected more and would have appreciated a coffee machine and a fridge in your room. We have preferred to provide a...

I have not stayed in the hotel however I have had drinks in the bar multiple times. That said, the bar has great charm as it is stylish, pleasant and a hidden gem in Paris. The hotel is itself located in a rapidly developing quartier of Paris that is being a hub of design and artists. Great drinks, music, and...

If only our room was bigger........... For a one night stay it was fine but for more than that we would not have coped. Every member of staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't take advantage of the bar or terrace, Our room had a good shower and a comfortable bed and two tiny, low chairs, but that was about...

Just spent 3 nights at J&J. A great welcome on arrival by Mat, immediately made us feel at home & looked after . It is in a perfect location - surrounded by trendy small restaurants and art galleries , this north western corner of Le Marais is also one of the oldest parts of Paris . Walk around every corner...

Back in Paris after a long time, this time with the kids in tow. I looked around long and hard to find something that didn't entail too many longs walks or rides that would dampen the young ones' enthusiasm. This hotel was perfect for us. Great location, just a few minutes' walk from the Pompidou and le Marais. We only...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
