We first stayed here in 2021 with family to attend a wedding. We fell in love with it and have been back several times and have enjoyed each room we've stayed in. It's quiet yet perfectly located for seeing the sights and enjoying great restaurants. We especially enjoyed Henri and were disappointed when he retired. After previous stays in the past few months, I was thrilled to find him back helping out last week. He provides great advice and always goes the extra mile. So catch him if you're traveling soon. And guess where I'll be staying next month!!!

This is a historic hotel tucked right next to Saint-Michel and therefore great for tourists, especially book lovers and collectors of bande dessinees, as the biggest shops for these are right nearby. The rooms are small but well-kept and yoiu can discover al about the beat poets who stayed there. The staff are very friendly.

The location was totally perfect. Pre stay communication by Raymond was outstanding. When we arrived our room was ready. The suite, on the fourth floor was small but nice. Our biggest problem was with the showroom. Since there was a half door on the shower, there was water everywhere after every shower.... Wifi was spotty in the rooms at best. The bed (sleep quality) was very good and appreciated. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning on our next trip to Paris.

This is our favorite hotel in Paris. It has the most wonderful staff including Jean Marie, Raymond, Slim and all! It was built in the late 1400s but has all the modern conveniences of a boutique European 4 star hotel without losing it’s charm! Who needs a gym when you have the streets of Paris to explore.. The location is perfect for getting to all the sights via walking ( two blocks from the Seine) or Metro.It is on a quiet street but close to the excitement of the Latin Quarter and Saint-Germain-des-Prés cafes and bistros The hotel also has the history of being home to the “Beat Generation” greats. Again, the staff makes you feel welcome, it is extremely clean, has the necessary modern conveniences and we highly recommend if you want a charming and historic hotel in a perfect location.

this is such a gem of a boutique hotel in Paris. as a solo female traveller, I was very apprehensive in booking somewhere,which is exactly why I would recommend this hotel. the staff are very helpful and friendly,the hotel is typically small as per paris hotels but they make a small space beautiful! breakfast is only 10e per person, fully continental and a wide variety of breakfast to choose from,definitely worth getting before setting out for the day. it is very close to the city...the metro stop is 2 minutes up the street and it takes you directly to the arc de Triomphe and champs elysee avenue ,in only 4 quick stops.(this costs 1.90e. it is lovely and quiet at night,I slept great and the street itself is calm and feels safe. I think this hotel is really lovely and an ideal base to explore Paris from!!

I have stayed at this hotel twice and will stay there on my next trip to Paris. The location is excellent for city center tourist attractions: Louvre, Orsay, Orange. Henri and Raymond are very welcoming and very helpful in arranging the necessary reservations for museums, Seine cruises, dinner reservations. The rooms are "French-small", but well furnished, air conditioned and quiet.
I know of no another hotel that I appreciate as much as the Relais Hotel du Vieux Paris.

Our stay at hotel Vieux was for two days only. However, it was very convenient especially with the presence of Mr. Henry who advised us on how to get around the city and was of great assistance during our stay. The location is great; adjacent to the Seine river & Saint Michel Boulevard, with many sightseeing locations within walking distance. I highly recommend the breakfast in the hotel.

I booked this hotel on the strength of the excellent trip advisor reviews but overall was underwhelmed. I do not want to say it was average because it has a fabulous location just a few steps away from the Seine and Notre Dame but "very good" would not be a true reflection of our overall experience. The rooms are small but as other visitors say - that's Paris. The decor in the room was cheap and garish with plastic headboard poor quality carpet and curtains which barely met. The front desk concierge was very helpful and the breakfast was pleasant, if a little disorganised. All in all it was fine but at 450 Euro per night I don't believe it was excellent value. We have stayed in similarly priced hotels in Paris - Hotel des Grand Hommes/Residence Henry IV and preferred both of them despite the excellent location here.

Perfectly situated in the heart of the Latin Quarter, this beautifully appointed boutique hotel is an absolute gem. Thanks to the personal attention of Jeanne Marie and Raymond, I felt more like I was staying with friends than in a hotel. It's superb location on a narrow, one - way street between the Seine and the Latin Quarter's main walking street also means it is QUIET, as there is no vehicle or pedestrian traffic. It made for three of the best days I ever spent in Paris and I can't wait to go back.

I was planning to stay in this hotel for one night and the concierge, Raymond, seemed very eager to help me and book events for me. The only thing I booked through him was a yacht dinner cruise on the Seine. The France trip was cancelled due to France not opening to Americans due to Covid 19. I wrote the Hotel three times starting July 6 saying, "I'm assuming, with this much notice, that we can get back the deposit of $276 for the yacht dinner cruise on Sept. 10" I got no response with 3 tries. I can't believe the dinner cruise company won't honor a refund with 2 months notice. The charge was from the Hotel with Raymond saying "Pick up the tickets from the Hotel the day of the cruise," so it seems the Hotel has the money. I didn't expect to get the deposit for the Hotel back as I booked thru Booking.com. But that was not the case with the cruise which went from my checking account directly to the Hotel. VERY disappointed!

Contact the hotel directly. You'll have to provide your airline, flight number, time of arrival, where you are arriving, number of bags, etc. (The hotel will provide you a list). They will also provide you the costs as well.
"The elevator is very small and fits 1 person with luggage at a time. There is 24 hour concierge service. Best to book directly with the hotel rather than using a 3rd party. "
