We first visited this hotel three years ago. It was family owned with a delicious breakfast included and extremely helpful staff on site. There was also a charming restaurant and bar attached for late meals upon return "home". Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. The hotel has been sold. The hotel manager, an artist who proudly displays his work...

Excellent service and the best French Onion soup on a cold, wintery day!! With tiny stairs up to the best Notre Dame view too hard for a family member, an alternative suite was offered - very accommodating management - merci! Convenient location and full of charm!

If you enjoy all of the following;musty unclean smells, dirty fingerprints on walls, doors and light switches, suspect bed covers, grey grime ridden grout on bathroom tiles, broken toilet seats, greasy mirrors,non-functioning air conditioner, dead plants in window boxes, dust collections under furniture, unwashed curtains hanging like rags and heart attack inducing stairs whilst carrying luggage, then you will love it here. The owner claims to be an...

This was probably once a great place to stay in a wonderful location in Paris. Close to Notre Dame and train/metro stations. Wonderful restaurants in the area. We were only there 2 nights and only in the room at night to sleep so it worked for us. We were thankful that it was cool weather as there did not appear...

This hotel was cheap and near to Notre Dame and we had visited a few years ago. When we arrived this time we were sad to see the reception area was very scruffy and the restaurant which had been there previously had disappeared, which was very off putting on arrival. The room, however, was just charming and we could see...

If your idea of romantic Paris comes from movies like "The Devil Wears Prada", this is the hotel for you. There's a romantic scene in the movie where Andy tells Christian how much she loves Paris. It was filmed on the street right in front of this hotel with the southern apse of Notre Dame just across the river. This...

Very good location and cozy room. We didn't get any breakfast, as there was better choices just outside the hotel. Bad clearing, no lift, badly arranged closets and no cooler or minibar. Recommend for a long weekend.

Our room (24) was unexpectedly large with a seating area with a good sized table. There were three large windows overlooking a small charming street. The ceiling had exposed beams. The place felt like a trip to the past. You get to your room by a narrow circular wooden staircase (no elevator--be warned) having entered through a bar which doubles...

Me and my wife stayed in this hotel for three nights close to the Christmas holidays. It was freezing outside but nice and warm inside. Small room but very charming. We lived on the third floor without an elevator. Only a small winding stair case to take you up. Lots of charm but if you have problems with stairs then...

Paris has expensive hotel accommodations, Les Degres de Notre Dame bucks that trend. Our relatively inexpensive room (Room #24) was spacious and pleasant. Exposed beams, a dining table and soft chairs as well as a comfortable bed. Three windows look out to the street. The bathroom is a bit odd in that there is a large clear glass window that...

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
