We loved the Hotel St. Andre des Arts! The location is perfect. We stayed in the quad room w/private bathroom - number 32 that was surprisingly spacious and perfect for my husband and I and our two teen aged children. I liked the fact that the room was divided into two separate rooms. The front desk clerk couldn't have been...

We stayed here in 2003 and this year. The hotel is basic and the rooms are small but the location is excellent and the breakfast good. The staff are welcoming and helpful. We had two rooms and the bathroom in one was very small but useable. The location is the big selling point. It is close to Notre Dame and...

We stayed in a quad room for three nights in May and were very pleased with the value for money at Hotel St. Andre des Arts. With free wifi and breakfast (albeit rather simple - a baguette, spreads and a hot drink), it was very reasonably priced compared with other Parisien hotels. Moreover, the area is great - so many...

Very simple - but so nice! I have stayed there several times, and just love the location. No overwhelming breakfast and no lift, but your only need is a bed and a bathroom.

For the price you simply cannot beat this location. About a five minute walk to Notre Dame and the island. Aside from that this place is worn. The rooms are of course small as are most in Europe. The bathroom was larger than I have had and there was a hysterical hair dryer that I think was there before the...

I can't believe people rave about this place like they do here on Tripadvisor. Yes, the location is FAB. And they do free wifi. But that's where it stops. I hasn't changed since I was last there 12 years ago. Doesn't that say it all? It's worn, torn, manky, dirty and overprized.

A quirky little place but clean, plenty of character, very well located and within walking distance to most major attractions - 15 minute walk to Louvre. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by and staff helpful if you need any advice/information. Our room was on 3rd floor and fairly small but not a problem if you just regard it as...

Service was fair and nice. Local information was provided on demand. Room was small but enough for the 3-night staying. Room was very clean. In the centre of a very well located street, just 5min from Odeon metro stop. With a lot of local shops, restaurants, bars and a supermarket. Breakfast is a moment to share among hosts, however do...

We stayed in two areas. We stayed here for one night and on Rue Cler for the other three. We liked both hotels but this was definitely better. It was a great value, great location and they even have breakfast for free (rolls and coffee). Free internet too!! I will definitely go back to this hotel. Rooms were decent size...

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
