Hotel is centrally placed, but located in a narrow, quiet one-way street. Staff very friendly and accommodating all requests to the best of their possibilities. Breakfast is for French habits anything between rich and luxurious. Beds very comfortable. Good selection of daily newspapers in the lobby

Noisy street, terrible blinds, tiny bed (hubby's feet were off the end!), teeeeeny bathroom, and felt the security feeling was low/ risky. Staff were lovely enough, but facilities were lacking. We wouldn't go back... but we recommend the next hotel we jumped across to!

So easy to get the RER from CDG airport to St Michel-Notre Dame. From there is an underground walking connection to Cluny-Sorbonne metro station. You pop up on the street about 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Quiet street and located between 2 cinemas. Supermarkets and oodles if restaurants nearby. Walking distance to so many attractions. Reception staff are very...

Hotel Central Saint Germain is one of our 'go to' hotels in Paris - on the Left Bank. Average priced for what it provides but excellently and conveniently located. Friendly reception and staff. Rooms are small, but that is Paris.

Good option for Paris. Good location near Notre Dame (10 min walk). Room clean and decently sized. Very poor wifi connection, multiple times failed. No minibar in room, as probably hotel's choice to cut extra costs? Price within the Paris average so good option for staying within limited budget.

The hotel is well located, close to a couple of subway stations from different lines. Rooms are larger than most in Paris, clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet available with good quality/price ratio. Kind staff.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
