We had a very pleasant stay. The staff helped with restaurant suggestions and made calls on our behalf regarding a tour we had registered for. The room was good. The shower a bit small but we definately enjoyed our time there.

I stayed at the Hotel De L'Avre in the middle of January, and would recommend it as a good choice for people on a budget. The rooms were fine, though nothing to write home about. I think I paid about 60 euros for a single room. The location is good: steps to the Metro, and in a good neighborhood that's...

I stayed in Hotel de l'Avre in August 2004 after I read all the positive reviews here, but I wasn't awed with by this little hotel. Yes, it's charming, clean, the day managers were okay (helpful in general but a little cold), the garden was pretty... And yes, it's located in a quiet, residential neighborhood (good thing)...however, I couldn't get...

just returned from Paris. What a wonderful trip. The location of this hotel is outstanding...close to the Metro stop, Eiffel tower, boulangerie (bakery) and brasserie. There's many other stores for anything you can think of around the hotel. The room was basic but well maintained as far as decor and cleanliness. Very safe. We would without a doubt stay here...

My wife and I stayed here for the weekend 25-27 February as a birthday treat, and loved it. The Hotel is situated in a quiet street in a fairly classy part of the city with lots of cafes and shops nearby. The Eiffel Tower and Les Invalids are within walking distance although there is a Metro stop about 200 metres...

I am puzzled by the negative reviews I have just read regarding this hotel. We stayed there for a week in August 2004 and were more than pleased with the service, cleanliness, decor and location. We had the deluxe room facing the garden and it was both lovely and quiet. It seemed to have been recently redecorated as did most...

I booked this hotel after reading the reviews on this site and am glad I did. It was right down the block from the metro and within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, in fact we walked there everyday! Although they took longer to check us in than I would have preferred, we had to walk down the street and...

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel de l'Avre in October and found our room lacking. The bed, linens and drapes were extremely old and the room was stifling and musty. The location is good and we encountered no problems with the staff, but trust me, none of that will matter to you when you've been up all night...

Stayed two nights at this hotel in early November 2004, with my mother and stepdaughter. The hotel is in a fantastic location, near the Tower and train stations, yet off the beaten path so you don't get all the street noise. Bernard was very pleasant and helpful, but it seemed that some of the rest of the staff couldn't be...

Spent 4 nights from 29 Dec '04 to 2 Jan '05 at Hotel de l'Avre. It was great value for money. Room quite small but very comfortable. Staff helpful and friendly. Hotel is a very short distance to the nearest Metro. All in all an ideal hotel for a short break in Paris.
