Beautiful hotel, immaculately clean, quiet location, just off the main road into the city and perfect for couples. Valentine's day get away for my partner and I. It was recommended to me by a friend of mine who had lived in Paris for 4 years and he was not wrong in any regard. The rooms were smaller than expected but...

Our room was standard double although the bathroom was amazing with a very nice shower. It was clean and cozy. The breakfast was mediocre for the price - recommend skipping and going to a restaurant nearby. Location in Marais was perfect. Easy to find, could get to many locations easily on foot or the Metro. Service was fine, not outstanding....

I was there for three nights on a brief business trip to Paris. The hotel is central and very well connected. It is less than two minutes walking distance from the station Sully-Morland on line seven. The staff is super friendly. There is a very nice bakery almost in front of the hotels which comes quite handy for breakfast. Given...

Over the years I have visited many small hotels in the Marais district of Paris, always satisfactory, rooms small but well appointed and clean. However I shall go back to this one because of its superb large walk in shower with piping hot water all day and a strong power shower. Just what you need after a day padding the...

Very convenient location near the Bastile subway stop and the Ile St.Louis, but still very quiet at night. Good access to restaurants. The staff were very nice and helpful and gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation. Loved the decor and the bathroom. Did not eat breakfast at the hotel.

I found this hotel as a recommendation from Rick Steve's' guide to Paris. To first touch on the neighborhood: Marais is a nice area with a ton of cafes, restaurants, and boutiques. If I had time to stroll, which I wish I did, this would have been perfect. We were in Paris for 5 short days, when you dedicate a...

Lovely small reasonably priced hotel in quiet area of central Paris near Sully Morland metro. Parking is also available for a small fee. We were on the ground floor, which means that you do get some street noise but not that it is really noticeable. There is a wonderful cafe across the road, & a boulangerie next door to that...

Perfectly clean but small room. Not unusual for Paris. The location is good too. However the walls are absolutely paper thin and in the two nights I was hot here I got zero sleep. People in the next room being noisy. People in the corridors being noisy. People in the street being noisy. I know breakfast in Paris hotels is...

The Saint Merry Hotel is in a very convenient location in the Marais district. Close to the metro and walkable to many sites including the Notre Dame and the Louvre. Our room was charming, up on the 4th floor but was a challenging climb up a spiral staircase with suitcases. It's noisy at night as there are several cafes that...

This hotel is in a perfect location. You can stroll down to the islands and, at night, explore the trendy Marais District. The room we had was average size but the bathroom was enormous with fabulous walk-in shower. Everything very clean. The lift is ridiculously small. 1 person and 1 bag, that's it! But it's a minor inconvenience.

    Staying in Le Marais

    Neighbourhood Profile
    Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
