Stayed 4 nights here in Sept/Oct this year and was very happy with our choice... Lovely furnishings, helpful staff and in a great locatiion! Close to Cafes, shopping and the Metro, walk to the river Seine & Pont Neuf bridge and lots of site seeing locations. St Germaine is a great part of Paris to base your stay!

This is a really beautiful renovated hotel at the very heart of Saint Geramain des Pres. Has beautiful rooms, especially the upper floor ones. Every single room has really nice wall papers and cozy furnitures. Try to avoid the twin-bed rooms since moste of them are really small. Breakfast is satisfying, with nice filter coffee/chocolat chaud, croissants/pain au chocolat, marmalade...

We stayed 3 nights and found the location wonderful, near markets, museums and good food. Rooms were smallish typical of European hotels, but comfortable. Small, only has 15 or so rooms, you get to know the staff. Will stay there again next trip to Paris.

We were very satisfied with our visit here. When we arrived (a short walk from the Odéon metro stop, a slightly longer one from the Saint-Michel RER stop) we were apprehensive when we saw that there was construction on the street in front of the hotel, but as other reviewers here have noted, the soundproofing for this hotel is actually...

Dear Guest, We thank you very much for taking the time to write a long nice comment about Le Regent. You said everything that travelers must know :-) We took note of your "two very minor issues" concerning the outlet in the bathroom wasn't working and the stain on the bedcover from an iron. Hope to welcomming you again, Best...

We were in room 41 at this hotel. It was designated a superior room and was very spacious- very unusual for Paris. Very nice roomy bathroom. Lovely breakfast room in the basement. Very nice moderately priced hotel- for Paris. I would highly recommend it. It has street views.

We would have been very happy, except we got the smallest double, which was indeed small! Barely enough room for two suitcases. I don't know what we would have done if we brought more luggage. The front desk staff was very nice, especially Angelique. We got the Continental breakfast included, which consisted of croissants, bread, French yogurt, Orange juice, and...

Dear Karen, First of all we thank you for choosing our hotel and also for taking time to share your opinion on Tripadvisor. We are pleased that you like Le Regent even if "Standard" rooms are small. Indeed, rooms are small in the area of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, but we have bigger rooms in "Deluxe" and "Superior" categories. Hope to see you...

I stayed at Le Regent in Paris this year because I remembered it fondly from a stay several years ago. It's even better this time. The location, of course, is premiere, a stone's throw from Notre Dame, Place St. Michelle, Pont Neuf and Hotel de Ville. But it's a genuinely helpful, pleasant and accommodating staff that I most appreciate. They...

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
