Basic but clean rooms in central location, at unbeatable prices. The rooms on the high floors at the back of the hotel are quiet. Breakfast is served in your room. Free wifi. If you take a room without private bathroom, you will need to buy tokens to use the communal shower facility (which may be 5 floors away). Hotel management... More

And there are several grocery stores right by too. You can walk to the Louvre and... More

This hotel is VERY close to the nearest metro stop. I was so pleased to arrive in Paris after an overnight train trip from Venice. The room was ready at 12h00 – what a bonus. The room was spotless and spacious. It was cold and raining outside and I was please to have a carpeted room, with an en-suite bathroom.... More

A great little place. Value for a clean centrally located budget hotel. Staff very friendly, nice basic breakfast available in your room. Convenient to everything, so able to drop in and out during the day as you do things in wonderful Paris. I had nothing biting me as I saw in a recent review.

I travelled in Paris in Nov and I decided to stay in Tiquetonne Hotel for two nights. Great location right next to Les Halles, quite cheap, rooms equipped with basic furniture, very small, quite noisy at weekend nights so it was difficult to fall asleep at night. Hevewer the worst ting that happened to me in that place was that... More

Went there on november 2010, 2 nights, 2 time in this Hotel. No way, it DOES be cheap and basic, BUT prices are as low as €40 per night per person for the rooms w/o services, while € 60 for rooms w. shower+toilet. Staff is kind and ready to help. Knowing French is a plus, WiFi is available. Location is... More

I appreciated all the good Tripadvisor reviews of this place and booked based on them. Was not disappointed, but I am the type of traveler who leaves by 8:30 am and returns late evening. It's a very modest hotel with small rooms, minimal amenities, dated furniture (but very comfortable bed) and extraordinarily low prices at the western edge of Le... More

The Tiquetonne is a little gem. I've stayed there 4 times and referred many friends to it, and it's still as low as 50 euros for a room with a bath for one person. Located on Rue Tiquetonne, a tiny quiet pedestrian street near the wonderful big cobblestone market street .Rue Montorgeuil. Within walking distance of Les Halles, the Seine,... More

I stayed at this place for the 3rd time last summer, having been very satisfied the other times. The street it's on is very pleasant, full of cosy little restaurants, bars and cafés, although the general location isn't so great, very close to the rue St-Denis and all that goes with that. The staff here are pleasant, the rooms good... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
