As Americans travelling to France, we highly recommend the Hotel Montparnasse. The staff was very friendly, spoke English, and were very knowledgable about how to travel to as well as the schedules of various tourist destinations. Out room was small but certainly acceptable for the price. The room and especially the bathroom were very clean. The hotel is not located...

Neutral...that pretty much sums it up. I stayed here for three nights on the back end of a trip to Africa. It was clean, the hotel staff was pleasant, and the location...good. Frankly, I can't say anything bad about the Hotel Lenox, it's just I can't rave either. Bottom line: it's a safe bet. Oddly enough, on my first trip...

Stayed four nights at this hotel in a classic room that overlooked Delambre street. The hotel overall was fine. No real complaints but nothing great about this hotel either. The room was very cramped for two people...just enough room to move around the bed but that's about it. No storage for suitcases made it even worse. The shower was also...

After spending hours looking at the reviews of other travellers staying in Paris I finally decided on Hotel Lenox. I could not have chosen anywhere better. Firstly it is in a beautiful part of Paris, called Montparnasse and is surrounded by quaint cafes and incredible seafood restaurants seemed to be on every corner. It is a traditonal Parisian style Hotel...

We spent 4 nights at the Lenox after a last-minute search for an affordable yet pleasant place to stay in Paris and were pleasantly suprised. The receptionist was very welcoming, spoke excellent English and gave us helpful tips on what to do during our stay. We booked a standard double room (all our £500 budget could stretch to). It was...

I stayed at the Lenox Montparnasse for eight nights and really enjoyed it. The hotel is clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Of course the rooms are small, but it's Paris! All rooms are small in Paris but the ones at Lenox have lots of storage space and plenty of places to stow your clothes and make it feel like...

We booked this hotel though booking.com. We got a room at the upper floor, facing the street , but has no problem whatsoever with noises. We slept very soundly. I am a light sleeper, I can even hear the clock ticks! The room is small, but very very clean with nice furnitures and showers. You can access the internet from...

My wife and I stayed at the Lenox for 4 nights. We got there around 3pm and they were still cleaning our room from the previous guest but we kept ourselves entertained with the free internet in the lobby and the free coffee. The hotel staff are all very nice and helpful. The ladies always had a smile on their...

We stayed 3 nights at the Lenox this May, and had a great time. No problem with early check-in. We had room 47, and I've read a recent review saying they were disturbed by street noise at night. We had no problem with this at all, and we stayed a friday night, so I guess it's very individual. We booked...

What a hotel. Reasonable price, friendly. Everything: mattresses, AC, breakfast, showers etc. worked. We are used to living in inexpensive dumps for around 80€ per night. A modest increase in nightly cost is perhaps in line with having grown older and appreciating a good mattress, hot water and working air conditioning more than when we were eighteen years old. The...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
