Just returned from another trip back home in Paris. The Hotel Bonaparte still offers the best value in town. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms that offer the convenience of a safe, TV (including CNN), Mini fridge. Best location with great walks on the left bank that turn to a crossing of the river and continue to the opera and department... More

You could not find a better location or friendlier people in Paris. Paris is at your feet when you walk out the front door. You are right amid the action. The people were very helpful. Our room was a little dated in terms of décor, but it was spacious and comfortable. We will definitely return!

The hotel is situated near the St Sulpice church in the Saint Germain des Pres neighborhood. At walking distance from hundreds of restaurants , cafes , metro stations, shops and at the same time in a calm spot, it's location is perfect. The hotel is a XIX century building so its facilities and rooms are old fashioned but that is... More

We spent six nights in late September on our third stay at this hotel. The newly renovated rooms are very well appointed and comfortable. The hotel is very clean and quiet. The staff are superb, always ready to help and very knowledgeable. The location is perfect. Plenty of restaurants one block behind the hotel. An easy stroll to the Sainte... More

This is a small hotel in a very good location between St Germain des Pres and Eglise St Sulpice. We walked everywhere with no problem. While the building obviously has some age to it, there have been many and successful renovations. The bathrooms are modern, and the beds are very comfortable. The receptionists were extremely helpful, especially with museum and... More

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and we are very glad we did! Easily the best part of this hotel is the location: around the corner from beautiful saint sulpice and an easy walk to 2 metro stops on different lines. We were able to walk to the Luxembourg gardens, down to the Seine and to most... More

There were at least two very curious aspects to our recent stay at the nicely situated Bonaparte Hotel, with the second one being the far more significant: first, during our entire three night stay, we noticed just one other guest of the hotel, and not a single soul sharing the breakfast room with us; and secondly, but more importantly, this... Fabulous location in the heart of Saint German neighbourhood. Traditional hotel. 19th century building. Old but not tired. Family run business. Petit dejeuner with WiFi access. Service and amenities comfortable . San Sulpice around the corner and Church of Notre Dame within walking distance across the river.

HB is an older hotel with different room quality/price combinations. I was with a tour group, so I don't know the actual prices, and (due to a scheduling problem) I got to sample two levels of room; one was pretty nice (sixth floor facing the street), and the other was so-so (third floor facing the inner court). The location, in... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
