Our family of six, including four children ages 6-13, had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The rooms were snug, but had everything we needed. The bathtub was long enough that all 5'10" of me was comfortable, the rooms and the rest of the hotel were very clean, and the staff was kind, helpful and patient. The location of the...

The staff were helpfull and friendly. The hotel is in the Latin quarter close to restaurants ( for good choice of evening meals in roads running parrellel to Boulevard St Michael). and about 8 mins walk to Notre Dame. The Hotel has good facilties . Like most Paris hotels the rooms are snug. But our room on the ground floor...

Pros: Great location (5 mins walk to subway, 10 mins to the river), it is in the university area so the neighbourhood had a great vibe and lots of restaurants nearby, reasonably sized and comfortable room with a modern decor Cons: The decor of the bathroom looked cheap, all towels reeked of vinegar (I've heard it is used to combat...

There were pluses and minuses to this hotel. I'll start with the positives - the bed and pillows were about the comfiest I have ever known, maybe even beats my own! The location is really convenient, in the heart of Paris, 5 mins walk to the metro stop and perfect base for business or sightseeing. Given the central location, it...

This hotel has alot going for it. Great rate, excellent, quiet , historic location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful snug rooms. The only thing I would have to fault was the hot breakfast-sausages and eggs werent great. Would definitely book again here when lucky enough again to be back in this beautiful city!

Just back from a four night stay at this hotel (from 26 - 30 October) with my husband and our 11 year old daughter and it exceeded my expectations. The room was a bit bigger than we expected and our bed was huge and extremely comfortable. My daughter's sofa bed (chair bed actually) wasn't as comfortable but was perfectly adequate....

I went there with my wife for a couple of days for our wedding anniversary. When we arrived veronique made our check-in , she was cold and distant and didn't help to find our way to our room and she was occupied to answer to the phone and totally ignored us .Besides that, the room was clean, the other people...

Excellent location - in the heart of the Latin Quarter - very central and within walking distance of many attractions/venues. Nearby neighbourhood is very hip-n-trendy with plenty of cafes and eateries. Hotel room "compact and bijou" with dated decor and a view of the back of adjoining residential buildings. Bit pricey for what the accommodation had to offer, but I...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights at the end of July. The location can't be beat. It's very close to the Latin Quarter, Seine, Notre Dame, Jardin du Luxembourg, and walking distance from the RER to/from the airport. Yet, it is on a quiet side street directly next to the Sorbonne, which made it fairly quiet. Rooms...

We stayed three nights and were checked at midday by a very helpful multi lingual receptionist who offered advice on everything you need to know about Paris. The room was comfortable clean and compact as was the bathroom which had an excellant shower. The addditon of a fridge in the room was great for chilling your drinks without having to...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
