The hotel is clean and modern, perfect for people like me that have issues with dust or wetness in walls. the location is very central and yet it's very quiet and peacefull. we got a very good deal that made the price very reasonable. i will definately stay in this hotel on my next visit in Paris.

Really friendly and helpful staff, clean reasonably appointed room, although very small. Great position for visiting tourist spots.

The service overall was pleasant. The room was in good condition although on the small size. Fabulous location, minutes away from the Jardins du luxembourg, rue saint germain and the Seine. We loved the proximity to all the great Paris spots. We found the room was tight for two of us plus a two year old.

My husband and I stayed five nights in this hotel. The room was quite small but the bed was very comfortable. The location was awesome! It is in a nice part of Paris, near Quartier Latin, Luxemburg Garden, Boulevard Saint Michel, Boulervard Saint German, Pantheon. It is just two blocks from the subway and RER. But the service... There was...

Our family of three (mom plus 2 daughters ages 10, 13) had trouble finding a room for three in Paris until I realized that I should enter 2 adults and 1 kid when searching for available rooms. All of a sudden, lots of rooms were available. Sunday night was cheaper than weekdays; this hotel caters to business travel, I think....

Stayed at the Mecure on a business trio for two nights. The location is very nice. Right across street from the Sorbonne. You can easily walk north to the area around Notre Dame and the Louvre and a short walk south brings to the area around Le Pantheon and Luxembourg Gardens. Great areas for walking or sitting in cafes. The...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.

“Upgrade the bathrooms. They are in need of refurbishment. Put a walk in shower instead of a bath tub. It is clean spic and span, no problem with that, and functional, it works, but bathtubs are out, walk in showers are not.”
