Located 2 minutes walk from Metro and Saint-Michel restaurant area. Near Notre-Dame. Very nice (but small) room, good cleaning. Breakfast is good, both hot and cold choices in addition to eco-food. Hotel personnel are polite and helpful. Reccomended

You cannot beat the St. Michele/Sorbonne area for walking to great restaurants and cafes and very convenient to the Metro. We have stayed here twice. It has a residential rather than sightseeing feel to it. My only complaint is the crazy shower setup...which is common in Europe. Why not invest in a shower curtain?

we had a business deal on this hotel direct from Accor and we found it refreshingly small and nice for a Mercure. Small room but very nice with Sorbonne view straight out of the window on 6th floor. Quiet street but handy to everything, and very pleasant helpful staff happy to speak English if needed, excellent breakfast with healthy options....

Excellent Hotel, right beside the Sorbonne, in the heart of the Latin Quater of Paris. Very friendly staff, good overall service and excellent value for money breakfast. Free wireless internet, newspapers and magazines. Rooms very clean and comfortable.

Just stayed 4 nights in this petit hotel in Sorbonne. Really good location, close to everything - great restaurants, park (Jardine du luxumborg), St Germain, walking distance to Notre Dame. Went with my parents, so not very good with walking up and down the stairs, but there is a bus stop not far on Bd St Michel which has good...

Stayed over the week-end for a couple of nights. Location is great, right across from the University of La Sorbonne, and at walking distance from the Luxembourg Gardens, Saint-Michel (Latin Quarter), Notre-Dame or Le Louvre. Well, walking distance if you are willing to walk for 30 min, which is ok by my standards... Breakfast is decent, and has a selection...

I stayed at this hotel in August for three days with my family. We had two adjoining rooms. Although the rooms were small, they were very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The beds were the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in, with the most comfortable pillows ever! The en suite bathrooms were clean and adequately supplied...

Ashtray left uncleaned, glasses (for mini-bar) unchanged. Good location and agreeable room, but has some problems with housekeeping. Also, 800 Euro for 3 nights felt a bit over priced. The bed was good.

Location of this hotel is perfect for exploring Paris. The hotel is typicall for Mercure brand, nice, clean, very soft bed, although the room I was issued was really small, much smaller than i am used to have in other Mercure hotels. If you are going to Paris to experiance Paris itself, this is perfect choice, if You want to...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
