Lovely, quiet, intimate hotel perfect for several days in Paris. Amazing location. Rooms are basic but very large for Paris standards (plus you really only need your room to sleep and shower when in Paris). Hotel staff was very friendly and we always felt safe. We asked the front desk for some restaurant recommendations that were nearby. We received a...

I booked this hotel after reading all of the fantastic reviews and I was not disappointed. A friend and I stayed here for four nights for our annual "Mom's Only" trip. We stayed in a superior twin and the room was a decent size for European standards. We each had a twin bed and room for our large suitcases. The...

I was booked in here by a PA for a couple of nights on business. The first night I arrived very late, and I think I may even have been the only guest in. There are only 11 rooms, across 5 floors, and each room is a gem in itself. My room on the 2nd floor was not huge but...

We have stayed here for nine vacations, at different times of the year. We have always felt welcome, and at the center of real Parisian life. The front desk is great, everyone is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and very European. The neighborhood--St Germaine des Pres--is fabulous. We can walk everywhere, and the metro stops St. Michel and...

Wanted to try the Left Bank area so booked the Hotel Prince De Conde. Small hotel located near the Seine River. The rooms were small but acceptable. The breakfast was Pretty good. The location was nice. The service of the staff left something to be desired. Not helpful on directions, gave us the wrong time for a restaurant reservation, and...

Dear Holidayelf Thank you for your review about your experience at Hotel Prince de Condé. We are glad that you appreciated our ample breakfast & location. However, we regret about the bad experience you had with the restaurant reservation & staff. We take very seriously our costumers’ reviews so we took the time to verify this matter and it seems...

A tiny hotel, with only eleven rooms, the Prince de Conde is nonetheless charming and perfectly nested in the heart of St. Germain des Pres. Yes, the rooms are small per the usual European standard, but the charm and location outweigh the size.

I would say the location, location, location. This hotel is central to the city. A couple blocks from the Louvre. Close to metro stations so easy to get to everything. The room itself was on the 5th floor and was twin double. It was small but adequate for 2 people. Beds were comfortable. One con would be the shower head...

I was greated by the lobby worker who was friendly and helpful. Room was quite large for Paris and was reasonably priced. Walked to the Louvre, Notre Dame and tons of bistros and bars. Close to Metro. Convenient to get to Eurostar back to London. Great deal Saty Here!!

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
