It was my first time in Paris, I read many good reviews about this hotel so I reserved one night only at first , but then I extended my stay till the end of my visit .. Turns out the reviews were true; the hotel is located in a very active area; 2 metro stations close by, 1 bus station...

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in this hotel, in Room 12 which has a terrace attached with table and chairs. The hotel is welcoming, from the entry foyer with lounges, bar and newspapers, styled in a comfortable, understated yet refined way. The room itself was small, yet comfortable with a bath and two double doors to the terrace....

We were delighted with our choice of hotel in Paris, Le Clos Medicis. They have many things going for them that will make you want to return as soon as you can..location, friendly staff, beautiful breakfast, lounge with bar, good sized rooms.. ours even had a patio space with table and chairs. The only negative comment would be that our...

We were staying here in a party of 8 to celebrate a family birthday. In almost every respect, the hotel was great: our room was quiet, comfortable, recently modernised (good decor, smart bathroom). The breakfast (E13) was generous and nicely served in a quiet courtyard. The location was perfect, within easy walk of the Luxembourg Gardens and Luxembourg RER. What...

Thoroughly enjoyable trip. Hotel in a great location, within 30 mins travel of all major attractions. Staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. All round cleanliness was excellent. Would definitely recommend to my family and friends.

Great location and the size of the room was very typical for central Paris. The decor was lovely but the lobby smelled horribly of smoke from the fireplace even though we didn't see it on for our 3 night stay. There were many (3 or 4) issues with broken things in our room when we arrived and most of them...

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for taking time to leave your comments about your stay in our hotel. I'm glad to read you enjoyed the decor of our hotel and rooms, which are all different from each other. The fireplace is working only during winter time in the evening, this is the reason why you didn't see it working....

We had a wonderful stay here in Paris. The hotel is in a great location, steps away from major sights, shopping and cafes. The bed and linens were super comfy and made for a restful nights sleep. The staff were pleasant and helpful, I would love to come back soon! I would recommend this property to family and friends 😊

We enjoyed a lovely, clean & comfortable street-view room during our week's stay. Great location allowed walking to Ile de la Cite including Notre Dame and Louvre (15-20 min) but also 5 min to Metro station and Jardin du Luxembourg. Lots of eatery options steps away and a lobby with seating large enough to wait for friends before going out.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
