It's Paris, so shocking and terrible hotels abound, and I've stayed in several of those (and some highly superior ones.). I mostly enjoyed my stay here at Carlton's. I like the neighborhood and took a long walk around. The Métro is also nearby. The place IS near Sacre Coeur, which is a plus, and there is a nice rooftop terrace;...

First time stay for one night. Small hotel. Simple and decent, small room. No time to move around this location. But manage to visit the Paris Champs Elysees to enjoy the Christmas lighted street. Beautiful. Hotel cost quite costly for the simplicity. Guess it's Paris capital.

A very nice hotel, friendly staff, small but nice rooms with a splendid view of Sacre Coeur. Comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was surprisingly good, we asked for glutenfree alternatives in advance which worked well. There are many nice restaurants in the area and also a grocery store just nearby. Metro is really close, but on our shopping day we...

Boutique style hotel with a wonderful and friendly staff. The gentleman at check-in was super friendly and helpful. The room was larger than expected and very clean and comfortable. The rooftop patio was a welcome bonus and offered a great 360 degree view of Paris. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will certainly consider staying there again.

The hotel was in a perfect location for 3 different metro lines and a short walk from Gard de nord , making all of Paris easily accessible. Stayed there for 4 nights and staff were friendly, breakfast was good and plentiful. Not too many amenities at hotel but we were out and about all day so didn't matter to us....

We chose this hotel because of it's location: close to Sacre Coeur, metro, lots of restaurants, a grocery store, etc. The website gives the impression that the hotel is much bigger and fancier than it is. The room was nice, clean, working fridge, not too noisy, but nothing special. The decor was artsy, in keeping with the neighborhood. The breakfast...

worst hotel. The hotel is definitely not four star. Very small, smelly, water leaking rooms. Definitely not value for money. i doubt how they got 4 star ranking, not even worth to single star compare to dubai hotels. it is a dark den.

For the most part everything was amazing. The view the check in, the room, or room view. The only 2 downfalls were the overnight guy, who was very rude & not helpful. And the TV. We only had 1 English channel :( But other than that, everything was amazing!

I'm currently staying at the Hotel Carlton. I booked the room through Momondo and then Amoma. I went for price and location. My process is to pick the hotels with 3 stars and up, and customer feedback at 7 and up on Momondo, and then work on locations from there. This was came up as a good deal, and I...

My second experience of this hotel is as good as my first a year ago. It was good to know the standard of comfort, friendliness and cleanliness is to the same high standard as last year. If I return to Paris next year this is where I will be staying.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
