We stayed at the Hotel Odeon for 3 nights and loved it! The room was quiet, comfortable and large by Paris standards. We skipped breakfast in the hotel in favor of wandering the neighborhood for cafes in the morning. There were many! The staff at the hotel were helpful, they reccommended some great places for dinner and very friendly. My... More

Our first time at Hotel Odeon Saint Germain and we LOVED it. The service is warm and accommodating and fully bilingual, though patient enough to help if you (like me) want to practice your poor French. Rooms are clean, beds are dreamy, and breakfast is tasty. Plus the location can't be beat, if you are a Rive Gauche type of... More

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for 10 nights for my dream Paris vacation. I can't say enough about how charming and welcoming the entire staff was. We loved the location, able to walk out our door and feel safe and entertained around every corner in this lovely neighborhood full of charming cafes, wonderful shopping and easy... More

I love this hotel. It's in the perfect location for exploring one of Paris' nicest arrondissements - near great bookstores, the iconic Brasserie Lipp and Café Deux Magots, tons of cute little boutiques. It's true that if you have a single room, it's tiny; mine is about 70 sqft but it's perfectly laid out. The bathroom is impeccable and the... More

We stayed at the Hotel Odeon Saint-Germain for four nights last month and enjoyed it immensely. From our first greeting at reception to our final call for a taxi, the staff were warm, friendly, attentive and professional. We had a Junior Suite with a hammam which was so relaxing after a day walking through Paris. The hotel is very well... More

I am late with this review so I owe apologies to Jean-Francois and the rest of the staff! I stayed with my wife at Hotel Odeon Saint-Gemain in late February, early March 2012 for five nights. We were warmly welcomed and given courteous service during our entire stay. My wife speaks no French but the staff was always gracious in... More

Stayed for four nights over the first weekend of June '12. The staff was extremely courteous & helpful, and the rooms, while a little small, were modern and very nicely kept. If you're looking for the Parisian cafe culture, this hotel couldn't be situated in a better location. Dozens of cafes are within only a few blocks, as is the... More

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Odeon Saint-Germain on the front-end and back-end of our honeymoon trip mainly focused on the south of France. The location of the Odeon is great and the service provided by the staff at the hotel is outstanding. We had traveled to Paris several times before and for the price and location of the... More

We had a wonderful 6 Day stay and could not have wished for a better experience. The staff were fantastic and were extremely helpful when we had a small issue with a lost personal item. The "Luxury" Room was of generous size and the location was perfect. We will be back for sure !

I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. The location, service and staff are absolutely excellent and the location is a dream. My husband and I prefer the charm of the St. Germaine area of the left bank, so we knew we would be happy with the neighborhood, but were happily surprised by the Odeon in every respect. We had a... Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
