This is a fabulous hotel if you are looking at experiencing something more European and less large chain and impersonal. The rooms are well appointed with beautiful fabrics, large towels, and great bath products and the bed was very comfortable. Keep in mind, that the rooms are small and the bathroom tiny, but that's what you have in the city....

This hotel was worth all the searching on the Internet. We stayd six nights and it was totally sllent at all times. It is located on a side street, close to the St. Sulpice Church and convenient to three metro stops. The staff could not have been nicer. The room was small but we only slept there. The shower was...

We recently spent 4 glorious nights at this delightful hotel. Being our first time in Paris, we wanted somewhere central, easy to get to and special. This little gem did not disappoint! From the spotlessly clean rooms to the gorgeous front room, it made our whole Paris experience perfect.

Very small rooms. Only one person at the front desk to answer all calls and help guests. Our room had a strong odor of smoke and required going up many circular staircase steps to reach it. When we came back to our room after 4:00 after being out all day, it still had not been cleaned. On the plus side,...

We have been to Paris many times but this trip we had our seventeen year old granddaughter with us. The location is just perfect for everything, shopping, very good food and walking distance to many attractions. The staff is very attentive. Try this hotel, I think you will be pleased.

This hotel was charming and perfect for my Christmas getaway. I was checked in by Thomas, who showed me the honesty bar and lounge/breakfast area, all while carrying my large suitcase to the phone booth size elevator up the stairs in the back part of the hotel. Got off at the 4th floor (American 5th floor) and reached my double...

We had a wonderful stay and the staff was very friendly and most helpful with our day trips and dinner reservations. I would highly recommend the HOTEL ODEON SAINT-GERMAIN to all my friends. The morning breakfast was wonderful. Having them sell us the tickets to the Louve saved us from standing in line. Their restaurant recommendations were perfect and they...

Perfect location for this area of Paris. However the bed was so uncomfortable with a plastic backed mattress protector. We need to say no more. Shower was a challenge. Staff were pleasant but nothing more. Bijoux hotel but too small for us, disappointing.

Very nice room, small but who cares if you plan to be outside exploring Paris. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful with 24 hour coverage. Comfortable bed. We found this hotel to be quite charming and with its proximity to so many attractions we would definitely stay here again.

We always come to this part of Paris whe we visit, so we thought it would be good to stay here too. This hotel is well located. The room is on the small size, but that was not a surprise. There is a shower and a minibar. There is no kettle. That is why I bring my own! Well worth...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
