1) the position is very central (close to underground and Notre Dame cathedral is 20 minutes on foot from the hotel), in a main shopping and turistic street. 2) Our room was not so clean and our sheets and towels were very dirty (with yellow spots...) 3) You have to pay for breakfast in this hotel but we suggest to...

We've stayed there during four days (from september 26th to october 01st). We love the very location of the hotel. It is very close to the subway, to restaurants and Louvre. The breakfast is satisfatory. The breakfast is satisfactory. The service staff is very good. They all speak English and are very polite and attentive. My wife and I recommend...

For people who are not use to traveling in Paris, please be aware that most hotels you will stay in are smaller than anything you will find in the U.S. My husband & I found this hotel clean and comfortable, but small. Even the elevator was tight. We each came with one large suitcase and could barely fit in the...

I booked a superior room for 3 nights which I prepaid. The room was small but modern, well decorated and very clean. The bathroom was also compact but newly renovated with toiletries and all conveniences. It did not have an overhead shower. We were allowed into the room early at 11.30am which was before normal check in. Check in/Check out...

We stayed here for 4 nights and found our room very quiet, considering we were staying in a busy part of town. Heard no traffic and slept like a log. the room may be small and the lift was tiny, but hey this is Europe, not Australia. The staff were fabulous and very helpful especially the night shift worker. Very...

A real discovery: Having been living myself for many years in Paris and having stayed in various hotels that were all of the kind « tourists just come once so why offer them good service for their money »…. I finally found a hotel I would book again straight away. Excellent location, very warm welcome, very clean, extremely friendly staff,...

This hotel was in a great location two blocks from metro. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were a little small and mattresses need to be replaced. Had to sleep backwards on the bed to not hurt are backs. If they replaced the mattresses this would be a good little hotel overall. Air conditioning worked great and hotel...

For starters, hotels in Paris, especially those less than ***, are far below what the typical American would expect at even an economy chain. Every hotel I have stayed in Paris including this one always have the reek of smoke, small, 20 years or older furniture, tiny twin beds and no sense of style (in Paris of all places). The...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
