I was in that hotel this week for 2 nights. Really nice location (”Madeline” Metro station in on 5 mins walk) and of course the Opera which is nearby. The areal is lovely so another plus to the hotel. The rooms are nice and clean, but really tight so I had a king of claustrophobia in there. Another issue I...

The hotel is in a good, pretty nice spot, between metro stations Opera and Madleine. They have open bar every day (soft drinks only). Breakfast is not so rich as you could think. Although the service is good, they gave us a room on the seventh floor (accessible only by service elevator, and not always working). The room was so...

The stuff was really warm and kind, especially Massi at the reception gave me helpful info about the restaurants and museums.I loved the breakfast (fresh food and the original French croissants!).The beds were comfortable, thought I would like the room to be a bit more spacious (1 family compiled by 2 teens 12-13 and 2 adults) it was ok.The room was...

Stayed 2 nights. Check-in and check-out very easy. Front desk officers are quite helpful. Room quite small, place to circulate only around the bed, a table, tv, a safe, some stationeries, bathroom also small, it is Paris. Good thing about the hotel is the self service cookies/tea/coffee/soft drinks in the lobby, with sofa to rest - FOR FREE in the...

Had to get a premium room so we could fit in! The other rooms you could not swing A cat in! Great room but paid a premium for it, bed excellent, very big and comfortable. The hotel used to have a in house bar, but now you can only get coffee or soft drinks? No good for the alcoholics amongst...

The hotel is pretty nice and extremely well located in downtown Paris. The people at the front desk are always nice, helpful and willing to give you a hand in case you need anything. The breaksfast at the hotel is simply awesome! I only have one complaint about my experience at Hotel Astra Opera. When I proceeded to check-out they...

I've been a lot of times to Paris in the last year for business and this hotel is the best one I've checked into. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and very helpful. And the location is really great: In the center of the city.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
