NEVER stay in room 602, as there is an extractor fan in the bathroom, running 24 hours a day and there is NO WAY TO TURN IT OFF, which looks like a Scania engine running! I complained and they did NOTHING about it! I spent a hellish night, until I changed rooms the next day. The bathroom is literally inside the room, separated by a glass partition.

If you have no pretensions and are satisfied with the bare minimum, that's fine. Tiny room and bathroom, in the morning from 6.30 all the smell from the kitchen enters the room (it is really very strong) Cleanliness can be improved, the carpets and very dated furniture don't help. There is no minibar in the room or electric kettle (they would be useful) A positive note is the location, 2 metro stops very close, a quiet and convenient area for all travel

Medium sized rooms. Air conditioning sucked. The elevator to the first floor is only big enough for two people with no luggage. They have no ice or mini fridge in the rooms. I was told to walk up the street a block to the pharmacy for ice since I needed to refrigerate my medications. I ultimately went to a closer grocery store and bought bags of ice and place medicines in a sink and covered with ice, which did not last long. In the bathroom, there were no washcloths, which seems to be a common European thing. $14 Euro for breakfast which was finger foods. Trash cans (20 were very small. I could maybe fit a Coke bottle and a Coke can in each before they were full. I kept hearing loud booming music between 930 and 10 pm. In the bathroom, the hairdryer kept overheating and shutting off. The power sockets would also blow. All television channels were in French. They advertised coffee pods for the machine, but none were present. They did store luggage as we arrived a few hours early.

We booked 2 X rooms for our 1st family holiday in Paris. The rooms were not up to the standard for the rating or price! They were basic and clean but absolutely no maintenance had been carried out. The beside table was damaged, the bathroom was awful dark brown tiles that had a botched job with the silicone to ‘repair the shower’ the plate on the toilet cistern kept falling off. The door handle was broken and came off in our hand making it unusable. Our daughter’s room had a huge crack in the plaster behind the door and her air conditioner was intermittent and inconveniently had to be adjusted by reception staff. (No phone to reception) We also had to constantly get our keycards reset. The reception staff seemed disinterested. Beware if you need an hairdryer when staying here. They have one in the rooms but both ours and our daughter overheated after 15 seconds and turned off. Useless. The petite breakfast was served in a dark room with no windows or atmosphere. We opted out. There is no bar fridge (unfortunately I think this is common in France) and no ice buckets were available - just the offer of a shared fridge. We witnessed a customer was trying to check out because of the state of the hotel was not up to scratch and he was told there was a large cancellation fee to pay for as well as tax. The best part of this hotel is the outside of the building. The rooms were clean and ours was on the top floor and thankfully had a small balcony or the stay would have been unpleasant. I wouldn’t recommend.

Room and Bathroom too small. No refrigerator. No place to put luggage. Breakfast not included in price but an extra at 14 euro located in basement of the building. Not appealing. Breakfast could be purchased at cafes and coffee houses steps away from the hotel and usually at an equal to lower price with much better ambiance. Positives were the staff and workers were very helpful and location was very close to Metro trams, Taxi stations and bus lines.

Stay far far away . This place is terrible , we checked in and within 45 min checked out , the book in the room says to leave your room key at desk when you leave for the day and to take all valuables with you , I have never seen or heard of this in my life . Saw few reviews recently of robbery’s at the hotel and this is probably how. The room had a very strong mold smell . They offered no refund since it’s a non refundable room but they were not holding up their end of the deal . They called us the next day to speak about incident and left a voicemail and we called them back and the person said they had no idea what we were talking about and was rude on the phone . Will never ever ever stay here again , not that we really stayed there once since left after 45 min.

I travelled with my family of four to Paris for 5 nights in August. The hotel was in a wonderful location in the Latin Quarter. We could walk to many restaurants and cafes as well as a fruit market and small grocery. We felt very safe walking around the neighborhood. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful with all our requests. We had two rooms. They were clean and the air conditioning felt great at the end of the day. The rooms are small but comfortable and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Disappointing hotel. A value for money that is not there at all. The dust is not done, the breakfast is ridiculous and not varied at all, not to mention the reception staff who are not very friendly and the loud music on the ground floor all evening. Too bad it is well located in a pleasant area

A Best Western as we like them and which never disappoints. I appreciated that a request I made during my reservation on the hotel website was taken into account, an attention which notes the professionalism of the establishment. Very good hotel in the 5th, close to many sites to visit and the proximity of a metro or bus line makes traveling easier. I recommend.

Very pleased with this weekend. Had a great time. Great value for the money. Wonderful neighbourhood.
Breakfast was ok but a bit small for the money.
No coffe avaible accept from in in the breakfast. That is a big minus. It should be free in the room or in the lobby all day!!!
Very stingy with toilet paper... you should not need to ask for it.
The bathroom had a glass wall and door. It was frosted but you can see and hear everything. No privacy. That felt very strange and you should know this before. Advice is that you can put on the tv loud.

This hotel could not be better situated from some of the most charming, unique and special restaurants, cafés and grocery/shopping. There is even a small boulangerie (bakery) just steps away.
For example: Take a walk on the nearby pededstrian street, rue Mouffetard and you will find all of the above. Walk to the top of Mouffetarrd to Place de la Contrescarpe and you are in a little square with cafés, a small bakery, ice cream and even a lovely fountain. In need of a burger, try Gaston. They are delectable. For a more authentic meal, continue past Place de la Coontrescarpe (as if you were walking to the Pantheon and on the right you will pass a lovely little French restaurant called "La Maison de Verlaine". This resto comes with history. The poet drank himself to death in his home. It was also a favorite of Hemingway who lived just around the corner. You will be presented with a poem by Verlaine with your menu. Most importantly, the food and service is delightful and very French. For a quicker and very famous quick-bite, on this same road but in the other direction is Au P'tit Grec, a créperie with consistent long lines that is a favorite of students and tourists alike.
Note: this road along with rue Monge both have groceries available. Place Monge offers a market each week and Rue Mouffetard has a plethora of shops to purchase foods along with a few regular groceries. I encourage you walk the entire length of this lovely bit of Paris which has not yet been taken over by tourists and chain-stores.
Finally, you would be shortchanging your visit to the 5th Arrondissement without visiting the Restaurant de la Mosquée de Paris. A delightful tea and cake spot just around the corner from the Mosque itself. Perhaps stop into the Musée d'Evolution (the finest of its kind) before tea. The presentation in this museum will delight and offer something unlike one can imagine...even if you are not into science.
Yes but it’s not clear glass. More of a translucent glass. Images are outlined if the bathroom light is on. You can tape paper on the inside on the glass. Bring tape. There are magazines, newspapers and travel brochures in the lounge area.
Multiple laundry mats located nearby. One is less than one block away on Rue Monge. Instructions are in French of course. Try Google Translate. Dry cleaner and tailor shop around the corner.
There are more places to choose from in the Paris area.
