My husband and I stayed here for three nights. This was our fourth trip to Paris, so I am reviewing this and comparing it to other hotels in Paris in this price range. PROS: Good location down a quiet street--not too far from Metro, very friendly front desk staff that spoke good English/helped me with my French, clean room, fairly...

We reserved a superior room that was small with a bathroom that was even smaller. The staff was very helpful in making a room change for us after 2 nights to a larger prestige room. It was definitely worth the extra cost. The room was very quiet and very clean. It was a very good value. Breakfast was included in...

The room and location were both excellent and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and to help us out with reservations and other travel plans when I fell and sprained my ankle. They were even so kind as to prepare a special pack of ice for my ankle.

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay that is reasonably close to the Louvre Museum and other popular tourist attractions. The location was quite good. With tons of restaurants and shops all around we never needed a taxi to go where we wanted. The Louvre was only a 15-20 minute walk. The hotel is very charming....

This is a sweet hotel in a very convenient location just a block from the Bon Marche. the rooms are the normal Paris small, but nicely decorated and extremely comfortable. On the fifth floor, I had no problem with noise at all. The lobby is comfortable and the breakfast is just lovely. For the price, I thought it was a...

It's located on a quiet street with plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops at your door step. We stayed in a double room (#46). The room was...

This is a small hotel that is in an excellent location. It is close to the famous department store Le Bon Marché and is close to all sorts of public transport. It's also a short walk to Saint Gérmain and Montparnasse. It is good value for money.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
