This Hotel is indeed in a "Lively Street" in Montparnasse directly opposite a Sex Shop. Apart from the Friendly Reception Welcome it had not much else going for it. The rooms were indeed small and noisy. During my three night stay the Breakfast Room in the Basement resembled a building site with no attempt to screen off from the service....

We stayed 5 nights at this hotel during the whole SIAL exhibition.  My only positive feedback would be the smiling staff at the front desk :) Otherwise, this hotel needs definitely to be refreshed. The room insulation was deficient, the bathroom was uncomfortably small as well as the room. The room lacked many basic equipment like a minibar, a safety...

Getting here: Well, it is very easy- it is around the corner from the #13 Metro, which is very convenient. Location: The street is very busy. Mostly filled with adult "toy" stores. Which I don't have a problem with, but it tends to attract a rowdier crowd that I could do without. Check-in: No issues here, the person at the...

I liked this hotel. They have a/c (which works well), wifi that was actually fast, and it's in a great area. I loved all the cafes and shops around the hotel. It seemed like a mix of tourists and locals, which was nice. I walked around by myself at midnight with no issues. There are a couple subway stations nearby,...

I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to easily explore and enjoy Paris. The metro is a five minute walk away and there's many stores and eating places right outside this hotel. The neighborhood stays alive way into the night because of the cafes. There is a warm, personal feeling to this area. The hotel room was clean and...

Stayed two nights mid July. Great location, not too far from the Eurostar station/Metro. Front desk staff (all of them) were very helpful and fluent English speakers. At their suggestion, I purchased the two day Louvre/Musee de Orsay pass. The two museums are very different in collection, location and architecture. It would take multiple visits to view the complete the...

Brilliant situation for mont parnasse main line station and metro routes. Lively area with lots of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. We had a room at the back on 5th floor, very quiet. Really comfortable bed and nicely furnished. Had a bit of an issue with electrics but this was resolved quickly by the friendly reception staff. Shower gel,...

I spent 3 nights at this at best "Hostel" (priced as a hotel - 100e per night) purely as it had been booked by my son blindly. The room was grubby, shoddy and had a filthy carpet (photographed). When I complained to the desk assistant and showed the photo of the carpet it was "noted" for the cleaner. No opportunity...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
